Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a liquid crystal charging device which uses efficiently a liquid crystal and has a good workability, by bringing a charging hole of a display device into contact with the other end of a glass fabric which has one end immersed in the liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:A glass fabric 3 has one end immersed in a liquid crystal 2 and has the other end supported on the outside of the liquid crystal 2 by parallel bars 4 and 4 placed in the edge of a liquid crystal reservoir 1. A display device supporting tool 5 which supports a liquid crystal display device 6 so that a charging hole 7 of the liquid crystal display device 6 is brought into contact with the other end of the glass fabric 3 when the supporting tool 5 falls consists of a sorter 5a, where the liquid crystal display device 6 is inserted and is placed on a bottom part detaining parts 8 and 8, and a fall part 5b which the sorter falls by. These devices are set in a tank 9 having an exhaust system.

(Example) Conventional technology There have been various proposals for liquid crystal injection methods for liquid crystal displays, which are made by bonding conventional substrates together and injecting liquid crystal into the gap between them, but this method was considered to be the most productive among them. This is the method described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 49-79543 or a method equivalent thereto. That is, as shown in Figure 2, the tank (19
) and a display device (16) (1) supported above the liquid crystal ff1 (11).
6) After preparing the tank (19) and evacuating the inside of the tank (19), immerse the display device (1B>(16>) into the liquid crystal (12) to reduce the air pressure inside the tank (19). By returning it to its original state, the LCD (12
) is injected into the container.

However, with this method, the liquid crystal (12) may rise to the part of the container between the substrates that is not the container, that is, to the outside of the seal, due to capillary action, and since the viscosity of the liquid crystal is relatively high, the liquid crystal attached to the part of the container that is immersed may be wiped off. If the liquid crystal is not dripped until it is removed, more liquid crystal than necessary is lost. Also, the display (
16) If (16)... comes into contact with the bottom of the liquid crystal reservoir (11), the corners of the display (16>(16)...) may be chipped, the inlet may be blocked, or the liquid may get mixed in during operation and settle. This may cause impurities inside the display (16) (16)... to enter the display (16) (16). Since it must be supported so that it comes into contact with the bottom surface, position control in units of 100 microns becomes necessary, making the support expensive.Furthermore, if the display device (16) does not come into contact with the bottom surface, Although the liquid crystal reservoir (11) must always have a deep number of liquid crystals left unused, a considerable amount of expensive liquid crystals is wasted.

When injecting the liquid crystal, the liquid crystal (2) is placed in a glass woven cloth (3).
) After leaving it for a specified period of time to ensure sufficient impregnation, open the inlet (7).
The tank (9) is evacuated without touching the glass fabric (3) (3) and opens the exhaust valve to bring the inside of the tank (9) to atmospheric pressure. This applies pressure to the glass woven fabric (3) and the liquid crystal in its weave, causing injection.

To explain more specifically, the glass woven fabric (3) is made of, for example, glass m fibers in plain weave or twill weave, and has a width of 35 IIJn and a thickness of 1.
Use a 5mm long 50crIl one, and support it in the length direction with parallel bars <4> (4) so that one long side is immersed in the liquid crystal and the other long side is 10 to 30 mm above the liquid surface. Then, the long side located above was lightly pressed to have a cross section of about 2 mm.Meanwhile, 150 liquid crystal displays (6) were aligned in the direction perpendicular to the glass woven fabric, and the injection port (7) The width is approximately 1.6 mm.

In addition, the liquid crystal display (6) may be lowered not in the vertical direction but in the rotational direction, but the extent to which it contacts the glass fabric is such that it covers the injection port, and it crushes the glass fabric and rests on the parallel bar (4>(4) The display device support (5) is easy to manufacture because it can be any staircase up to.

(f) Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention provides a liquid crystal reservoir, a glass woven fabric having at least one end immersed in the liquid crystal of the liquid crystal reservoir and the other end supported outside the liquid crystal plane, and a glass woven fabric poured outside the liquid crystal plane. Since the liquid crystal injection device is equipped with a display support for supporting the liquid crystal display so that the inlet is in contact with the liquid crystal display in a tank that can be evacuated, the liquid crystal can be used efficiently and the workability is good.
