高圧ガス室に圧縮空気を供給してフリーピストン
を作動させ、このフリーピストンにより作動油圧
縮室内の作動油を連通管を通じて上記シリンダの
作動室に圧送し、該作動室の油圧により作動ピス
トンを作動させて燃焼室内のガスを急速に圧縮す
る急速圧縮燃焼装置において、上記作動ピストン
の後部に多角形状のロツドを連結するとともに、
上記シリンダの作動室後部の端板に上記ロツドが
軸方向のみに摺動し得るように嵌挿される案内孔
