本発明は磁気装置の磁気記録円板の製造方法に
係り、特に表面仕上げ工程における洗滌処理手法

ング仕上がなされ平滑な面に形成せられるわけで
あるが、該ラツピング仕上だけでは仕上面にラツ
ピングガス(剥離した磁性粉体や砥粒、硬化樹脂
の破砕片や加工変質した表層等)が残り、該ラツ
ピングガスを充分除去しないと、磁気ヘツドと組
合せ装置として使用したときに、磁気ヘツドが汚
れたり浮上性が悪化したりして、ついにはヘツド
クラツシユを引き起す要因になるという問題があ
つた。この問題に対処すべく、従来、ラツピング
ガスを除去する工程として、エチルアルコール、
イソプロピロアルコール等の有機溶剤を紙やガー
ゼ等に浸みこませて拭いラツピング面を清浄化す
るというような化学的洗滌処理を施し、さらにバ
ーニツシユ処理によつて表面を超仕上するという

除去すべき洗滌作業手法を提供することを目的と
したものであつて、円板上基板に磁性粉体と熱硬
化樹脂と有機溶剤とからなる磁気塗料を塗布し熱
硬化処理を行つた該塗膜面にラツピング処理、洗
滌処理、バニツシユ処理を順次施す磁気記録円板
の表面仕上工程において、該洗滌処理工程が所定
の速度で回転させた該円板の表面に有機繊維組織
からなる所定の琢磨布を多量の水を流しかつ該琢
磨布の該円板との当接部位を更新しながら圧接す
るような方法でなされたことを特徴とするもので

色が赤茶色より無色に変ることによつて実験的に

れる有機繊維組織からなる所定の琢磨布を回転自
在な圧接用ゴムロールにより該円板の表面に押し
つけ、該琢磨布の該円板との当接部位を更新しな
がら圧接洗浄することを特徴とする磁気記録円板
の表面仕上げ方法。1.
