Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable misconvergence to be easily corrected independently of a convergence circuit by installing at least one auxiliary coil for supplying a correction current to a convergence corrector in a magnetic field formed by a deflection york and connecting the auxiliary coil to the convergence corrector. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary coils 1 are installed in the window of a horizontal deflection york. They are connected to a convergence circuit which is installed on the back end of a deflection york separator and consists of a full-wave rectifying circuit 3, a variable resistance 4 and convergence coils 2. A voltage of horizontal periodicity is induced in the auxiliary coils 1 by a horizontal magnetic field and the thus induced voltage is supplied as a parabola-correcting current of horizontal periodicity through the full-wave rectifying circuit 3 and the variable resistance 4. The above parabola-correcting current produces a correction magnetic field which corrects X-axis longitudinal lateral-shift misconvergence. Consequently, misconvergence can be easily corrected by the correction current produced on the side of a cathode-ray tube.
