[Detailed description of the invention] This invention targets logs being cut with veneer lace or cut veneer veneers (hereinafter referred to as veneers). The present invention relates to a thread insertion device that forms an extending cut groove and embeds thread in the cut groove to reinforce or join the surface layer of raw wood or the veneer itself.

All of these devices form a cut groove extending in the direction perpendicular to the fibers on the surface of the raw wood or veneer as in the present application, and have a configuration in which thread is buried in the cut groove, but the thread insertion method using these devices is the first. As indicated by B in the figure, the grooves 12 formed in the veneer 1 are basically formed in a V-shape. However, the construction method in which the cut groove to be formed is V-shaped has the inevitable drawback that it is impossible to bury the thread 3 in the bottom of the cut groove 12, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5. In addition, the engagement strength and state of engagement between the thread and the cut groove, which is the key to reinforcement or joining, are also affected because the cut groove 12 assumes a V-shape when the wood fibers in the cut groove part are elastically restored. There is a tendency to pinch the thread 3 while pushing it toward the opening somewhat, and even after the pinching is finished, the balance of forces is maintained as shown in Figure 5, but there is an unstable state in which this tendency is inherent. remain. Therefore, once the thread 3 is displaced along the kerf 12, the thread 3 is further pushed toward the opening.

Therefore, with the conventional equipment that implements this method, it is necessary to make the depth of the cut groove considerably larger than the buried position of the thread. However, it existed as a device with an extremely limited practical scope, and was only configured to be able to insert thread near the end edge of the butt end without considering deterioration of strength as a particular problem.

The present invention is based on the above-mentioned device, but the thread insertion method has been improved so that the engagement state between the thread and the kerf can be maintained stably even if the depth of the kerf is shallow. The present invention aims to contribute to the plywood manufacturing industry by providing a device that eliminates the drawbacks and limitations associated with the conventional device, and expands the scope of application of reinforcing and joining techniques using thread insertion. be.

In the figure, reference numeral 2 refers to the cut groove formed by the construction method of the present application, and what should be noted here is that the cut groove 2 is widened in the width direction even to its bottom. As a result, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, when the wood fibers in the kerf are restored, the thread 3 is held in place without being pushed toward the opening, and even after the pinching is completed, the thread 3 remains stable. can be in a state where they are engaged with each other. In addition, it is desired to bury the yarn 3 appropriately close to the bottom of the cut groove 2 which is spread out as needed, and in addition, as mentioned above, the thread 3 is spread out even to the bottom of the cut groove 2 in the width direction. Therefore, so-called tip cracking, which would substantially increase the depth of the kerf 2, hardly occurs.

The first embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8 and 11 is for reinforcing cracks shown at 15 in a veneer 1, for example, and the thread inserting device has an appropriate length. Cutting edge line (cutting edge line of cutting edge 7)
A thread inserting knife 4 having a cutting edge 7 having a diameter of 7a.
, the cutting edge 7 is in the running direction (direction shown by the arrow)
A pair of upper and lower transport rolls 10 and 11
The veneer 1 The cutting edge of the thread inserting knife 4 is configured to bite into the thread insertion knife 4 to a predetermined depth. The blade portion of the thread inserting knife 4 located inside the veneer 1 extends downward in the running direction of the veneer 1 with the cutting edge line 7a of the cutting blade 7 and the tip 7b located at the bottom of the cut groove 2 as the apex. It has a surface that widens toward the end, and has a shape in which the cutting edge 7 extends to the bottom of the cutting groove 2. That is, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 11, the tip of the thread inserting knife 4 is in contact with the bottom of the cutting groove 2, and also extends from the tip 7b of the cutting edge line 7a of the cutting blade 7 in the running direction of the veneer 1. It is accompanied by quite a bit of a widening surface 6 that widens toward the bottom. Of course, the widening surface 6
The shape of the groove 2 does not necessarily have the uniform shape shown in the drawings, nor does it necessarily contact the bottom of the groove 2 uniformly over the entire surface. However, by configuring the blade shape in the veneer 1 in this manner, the cutting groove is formed by the cutting edge 7 and extends to the bottom of the groove, so the widening surface 6 has a portion that comes into contact with the bottom of the running kerf 2.

Therefore, although this is also a drawback of the method of the present invention, wood powder is likely to be generated near the bottom of the cut groove 2, and as a result, the thread outlet hole 8 through which the thread 3 inserted through the thread introduction hole 9 is drawn out. Regarding this, having a structure that does not cause clogging and thread breakage due to wood powder is the key to practical use in implementing the above-mentioned excellent construction method. In other words, the thread outlet hole 8 is not formed anywhere on the blade part located within the kerf 2, but as is clear from FIG. Tip 7b of blade line 7a
The hole must be bored at an appropriate position on the blade where the length up to the lead-out hole 8 is at least greater than the thickness of the thread.

In the example shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the pressure bar 24 faces the log cutting knife 23.
In addition, a veneer lace according to Japanese Patent Publication No. 122199/1983 by the applicant of the present invention is provided with a piercing body roll 22 having a large number of piercing bodies 21 on the outer periphery in a form that interferes with each other as shown in the figure, and forming a cutting part of a log 20. Point the thread inserting knife at the surface layer of the log 20 being cut using
6. It is fixed to a support stand 19 via a bracket 17. Further, the thread 3 is guided to the thread inserting knife 4 from the back side of the thread inserting knife holder 16 via a guide pulley 18 through a groove formed in the bracket 17, and is led out from the thread outlet hole 8.

Of course, even in this example, the blade of the thread inserting knife 4 located inside the log 20 is aligned with the cutting edge line 7a of the cutting blade 7 as shown in the figure, with the tip 7b as the apex and the direction in which the veneer 1 travels. It has a surface that widens towards the end, and has a structure in which the thread outlet hole 8 is bored at the position of the blade blade separated from each other as described above. The thread 3 is led out from the thread lead-out hole 8 at a position that does not cause the thread 3 to cut the veneer lace and to achieve the thread insertion based on the method of the present invention.

As exemplified in this example, after inserting the thread in the log state, the cut thread insertion veneer is immediately after cutting by the pierced body 21 of the pierced body roll 22 and the guide member on the side opposite to it. Therefore, the configuration in which the veneer 1 that is threaded and discharged is uniformly regulated and carried out is different from the material of the veneer immediately after cutting, regardless of the technique that threads the raw wood of veneer lace. Therefore, it is extremely effective in preventing the yarn 3 from slipping out from the kerf 2, which often occurs when the yarn 3 is discharged randomly with various curls. In addition, the regulated carrying out by the peeling bar 26 where the veneer 1 is continuously bent in the opposite direction from the thread insertion side from the piercing body 21 is also carried out under the same conditions.

In this way, the present invention achieves the formation of kerf grooves that extend to the bottom of the kerf grooves in logs being cut with veneer lace as well as in cut veneers, and in order to eliminate the drawbacks associated with this. It is constructed by taking into consideration the position of the thread outlet hole, and is implemented by improving the thread insertion method, which is based on the restoring force of wood fibers for reinforcement or bonding strength, to the method described above, so it is easy to bury the thread. The depth of the cut groove relative to the position can be made shallower than that of conventional equipment, and the engagement between the thread and the cut groove after burial is stable, so thin veneers, which were previously considered to be inapplicable, can be processed. This makes it possible to thread the thread in a practical manner. Furthermore, even when used in combination with an appropriate adhesive, the depth of the cut groove can be made shallow, so the amount of adhesive used can be reduced. It is a great contribution to the
