Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce cost by fitting the bevel edges of one pipe into the joint hole of the other pipe then joining integrally the pipes by welding, etc. along the aperture edge of the joint hole. CONSTITUTION:The bevel edges S1, S2, S3, S4 are formed to the one pipe P1 and the joint hole H is opened to the other pipe P2. The hole H has vertical spacings H1, H2 and lateral spacings H3, H4 and is opened to conform to the cylindrical curvature of the pipe P1. The beveled top end of the pipe P1 is fitted through the hole H into the hollow chamber of the pipe P2 by means of fixing jigs and in this state the pipes P1, P2 are united and joined by TIG welding, etc. along the aperture edge of the joint hole H. The strength is maintained without using another parts and the reduced cost is resulted from the reduced number of parts and man-hour by the above-mentioned method.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial Field of Application) The present invention is applicable to, for example, horizontal bars in amusement parks and other various amusement equipment;
Regarding the joining method of pipes used for stair handrails or frame structures of bicycles and motorcycles, etc., it is especially a joining hole made by drilling the beveled end of one cylindrical pipe into the circumferential surface of the other pipe. This invention relates to an improvement in the technique of integrally joining in the cross direction using.

(Prior Art) A known method for joining the tip end of one pipe against the circumferential surface of the other pipe in a cross direction and joining them together is to connect the tip end groove of one pipe to the circular surface of the other pipe. It is common practice to form a curve to correspond to the shape of the curve, and then weld the curved portion after abutting them.

However, such a joining method has problems in terms of strength, and the strength varies considerably depending on the welding technique, so it cannot be used as a joining method for parts where high impact resistance is particularly desired, such as the frame of a two-wheeled vehicle.

For this reason, the frame structure of two-wheeled vehicles that require impact resistance, such as bicycles and motorcycles, generally employs a connecting means using connection lugs as shown in Figure 5, and the tip of one pipe P1 is As a means for joining the pipe P2 to the circumferential surface of the other pipe P2, a high strength I try to maintain the connection.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) However, when using the above-mentioned connection lugs or ribs, it is necessary to separately prepare the connection lugs or ribs, and the processing process is also complicated and increases the number of steps. Not only that, but bicycle frames in particular are heavy, and this is not a very welcome joining method in this field, where there is a strong demand for lighter vehicle bodies.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In view of the situation described in 1., the present invention solves various conventional difficulties, simplifies the joining process without reducing the joining strength, and is lightweight. We have come up with an innovative joining method that can meet the demands of modern society, and specifically, connect the grooved end of one pipe with a joining hole drilled in the circumferential surface of the other pipe. When joining them together in the cross direction using a pipe, the entire groove or at least a part of the tip of one pipe is inserted into the joining hole of the other pipe, and then the opening edge of the joining hole of the other pipe is inserted into the joining hole of the other pipe. This is characterized in that both pipes are joined together by means such as welding or brazing along the section.

(Example) The specific content of the present invention will be explained below based on the example shown in FIGS. 1 to 4.
P2 indicates one pipe, and P2 indicates the other pipe connected to this pipe. A joining hole 11 is opened in the circumferential surface of the pipe P2, and the joining hole H has a vertical interval 111, H2, and a horizontal interval 1 (3, 1) approximately equal to the diameter of the pipe P1 to be joined.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which only a part of the groove tip is fitted into the joint hole H, and the groove tip of the pipe P1 and the joint hole L of the pipe P2. In the joined state, the upper and lower parts S1 of the groove tip of the pipe P1

In this state, the two can be joined together by TIG welding and brazing along the opening edge of the joining hole H, as in the case of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 described above.

Note that the means for joining the two vibrators described above is not necessarily limited to welding, and brazing or a strong adhesive may also be used. In addition, although the above embodiment describes the case where pipes with a cylindrical cross section are joined, the case is not necessarily limited to this, and the same applies to the case where pipes such as elliptical pipes or square pipes are joined. The groove of one pipe to be cut does not necessarily have to match the shape of the opening hole of the other pipe as described in the above example, but it is made into a normal cut groove shape, and this is inserted into the joint hole of the other pipe and joined. You may also do so.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention is a method in which the entire groove or at least a part of the tip of one pipe is fitted into the joining hole of the other pipe, and the pipe is joined together by welding or other means. Therefore, sufficient joint strength can be maintained without using separate parts such as joining lugs or ribs as in the past, and the number of man-hours for joining can be reduced, making it possible to reduce costs. This has various beneficial effects, such as the ability to reduce the weight of the joint portion without having to do so.
