基板間に複屈折制御型液晶が封入された複屈折制
御型液晶セルを本体とし、この複屈折制御型液晶
セルの両側に偏光板が配設されたカラー液晶表示
素子であつて、 前記複屈折制御型液晶セルの前面には、複屈折
制御型液晶セルおよび偏光板を透過した光を選択
的に透過させる透過光制御部材が配設されている
ことを特徴とするカラー液晶表示素子。
