Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize the damage in case of a fault in the amplifier or power failure when occurred by providing a bypass rout in the amplifier and by selecting either one of the two transmission lines via the amplifier/bypass rout depending on on/off of the drive power supply to the amplifier. CONSTITUTION:In the CATV line 11, the amplifiers 14a, 14b... are connected in series. The amplification unit of each of the amplifiers 14a, 14b... is provided with switches 17 and 18 in its front and rear. The unit 16 and the bypass rout 15 are connected parallel through the switches 17 and 18. 明する。 図において符号11はCATVラインであり、分配器1

信される。上記CATVライン11上には、直列配列で
増幅器14a、14b、・・・が設置されていて、各増
幅器f4a、 14b、・・・には、バイパス路15が
設置されている。すなわち上記増幅N14a、14b、
・・・は、それぞれ増幅ユニット16のIyIW&に切
換スイッチ17゜18を具備しており、上記切換スイッ
チ17.18を介して増幅ユニット16とバイパス路1
5とを並列配置しており、上記切換スイッチ17.18
を、リレー回路19で制御できるようにしである。 そして電源供給器20により、増幅ユニット16に与え
た電流でリレー回路19を働かせ、切換スイッチ1γ、
18を増幅ユニット1G側にて(図面の表示状態)、C
ATVライン11の信号レベルを維持するのである。そ
して例えば、増幅ユニット16の故障時に電源を断とす

は第1段の増幅器14aが故障しても、TV受信機10
への停波は避けられる。また補助電源の使用(符号21
で示す)で、別の増幅W14bを働かせることができる
