リフタ６を冠着し、機関のクランク軸に調時して
回転するカム軸７に、異なるカムプロフイルを有
する複数のカム８ａ，８ｂを隣接して形成し前記
リフタの上方に配置し、該カム８ａ，８ｂとリフ
タ６との間に平坦なシム１１を配置し、該シムの
一端を、カム軸７と平行に配置した軸１４に摺動
並びに揺動可能に取付けたアーム１３の自由端に
枢着し、前記シム１１をリフタ６の上部平坦部に
常時接触せしめると共に、該シム１１がカム８ａ
，８ｂ間を移動しうるようになし、更に該シム１
１のリフタ６の上部平坦面からの浮き上がりを防
止するために該シム１１の前記アーム１３に関す
る枢動運動を規制する手段を設けたことを特徴と
