Abstract

PURPOSE:To finish a tapped hole in a hole in a short time by forming the chips cut on a cutting edge surface into small pieces by a chip breaker and discharging said chips outside with lubricating oil from a penetration hole at the center part of a tap body. CONSTITUTION:A penetration hole 15 for discharging chips is formed at the center part of a tap body 14, and a cutting groove 17 communicating to the hole 15 and an oil hole 18 which leads to the cutting groove 17 from the vicinity of a cutter 16 are formed at the biting part of the cutter 16, and a chip breaker 20 is formed onto the cutting edge surface 19 of the cutter 16. The inside of a hole 3 is put into negative-pressure state by the operation of a pump, and the lubricating oil jetted-out onto the upper surface of a workpiece 1 from a nozzle 29 is introduced into the gap between tapes 6 and 8 and a screw groove 7, and further introduced into the lower part inside the hole 3 through the oil hole 18 and the cutter groove 17, and further inhaled upwardly through the hole 15. While, chips 11 are formed into small pieces of chips 11A by the chip breaker 20, and said chips are discharged outside, passing through the hole 15 by the aid of the flow of lubricating oil.

When using a spiral tap as (8),
As shown in Fig. 7, the chip (6

Means for solving the problem In order to solve the above problem, the tapping method of the present invention forms a through hole for chip ejection in the center of the tap body,
Form grooves that communicate with the through holes in the chamfered part of the blade at appropriate intervals in the circumferential direction, and form small holes extending from the vicinity of the blades on the outer peripheral surface of the tap body to the blade grooves, and on the cutting surface of the six blades. Place the fully formed chip breaker tap on the threaded hole, fully supply lubricating oil to the threaded hole, apply negative pressure to the through hole, rotate the tap, and thereby cut the chips on each cutting surface with the chip breaker. It is folded to form a small chip, and the small chip is discharged to the outside through a through hole along with τ lubricating oil.

EXAMPLE A first example of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. The second or third tap (6) (8) in this embodiment is constructed as follows. That is, an embodiment of the reversal °C in which a chip ejection through hole 09 is formed in the center of the tap body a, and the chamfered portion (16A) of the blade αQ communicates with the through holes (to) at appropriate intervals in the circumferential direction. Then, form six (6) blade grooves αη, and form an oil hole 〇81 extending from the vicinity of the blade αQ on the outer surface of the tap body q to the blade groove α,
A chip breaker (■) is formed on the cutting edge surface 4 of the 6-blade α6. 4 is a rotary valve, and the upper end shaft part (22
A) is fixed to the tapping holder, and the large diameter hole (22B) formed on the lower surface fits into the upper end of the tap body α, and the freezing dog groove (2
20), a pulp body @ forming an L-shaped oil passageway (22D), an annular body (to) rotatably fitted onto the pulp body (2) and covering the annular groove (22c); It consists of a snap ring (to) that supports the annular body (to) so that it does not shift, an O-ring holder, and an outlet that protrudes from the annular body (to). 4 is a lubricating oil nozzle for supplying lubricating oil from above the workpiece (1) toward the thread groove (7); (to) is the screw for fixing the tap.

The tapping method will be explained below based on the above configuration. The state shown in Figure 1 shows the state in which the tap (61 (81) is being rotated in the direction of the arrow for cutting, and the inside of the hole (3) is suddenly under negative pressure due to the operation of the pump. ,
The lubricating oil jetted from the nozzle wing onto the top surface of the workpiece (1) enters the gap between the tap (6) (8) and the thread groove (7), and then enters the small hole (T) and the blade. It enters the lower part of the hole (3) through the groove αη, is sucked upward through the large penetrating bend, and is discharged to the outside. On the other hand, the chip Qll cut by the cutting surface QIJ hits the chip breaker (1) and is bent with a small radius of curvature as shown in Fig. 4, thereby breaking the chip (6) and turning it into a small chip (IIA). . This small chip CIIA)
The lubricating oil flows through the through hole and is discharged to the outside.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the tapping method and device of the present invention, a cut chip is broken into small pieces with a chip breaker to form a small chip, and the small chip is inserted through the through hole in the center of the tap. Since the tip is discharged outside, there is no risk of the tip getting caught between the tap and the thread groove as in the conventional case. Therefore, thread grooves can be formed continuously, and threaded holes can be completed in a short time.
