の先端硬性部に設けられた超音波を送受信するた
めの超音波振動子と、該超音波振動子に回転力を
供給するために設けられた駆動源と、前記体内挿
入部の先端硬性部と操作部を結ぶ可撓管と、前記
駆動源から超音波振動子へ回転力を伝達するため
に設けられた可撓軸とを備える超音波内視鏡にお
いて、前記可撓軸は剛性の高い可撓軸と可撓性に
優れる可撓軸を一体に形成してなる複合可撓軸で
