2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an apparatus shown in FIG. 1 has been used to cut styrofoam blocks into a predetermined thickness. This device uses a heat wire (nichrome wire) 3 between a pair of supports 2 and 2 installed on a base 1.
Stretch each wire 3 with alligator clips 4,
Connect to the power supply at 4 and energize this, and each wire 3
It is designed to heat up. When cutting a block, the block B is mounted on the cart 5,
This is done by moving the trolley 5 across the wire 3 and cutting into the block B from one end with the heating wire 3. By the way, in order to set the position at which block B is to be cut or the thickness of the cut, screw 6 with a fine pitch on the circumferential surface of support column 2 as shown in FIG.
A commonly used method is to cut the wires 3, wind the wires 3 around the valleys of the screws 6, and then stretch the wires 3 between the supports 2. It has the disadvantage that it can only be stretched for each P. Therefore, when cutting thickness requires precision, dimensional accuracy has been achieved by using wires with different diameters, but as the wire diameter becomes thicker, the foam styrene cutting allowance increases and the yield decreases. It tends to get worse. If even higher precision was required, the only option was to replace the column with a column with a different thread pitch.

This proposal solves the above problems by screwing a rotating ring into a screw carved into the support column, winding a wire in a groove formed on the circumference of the ring, and extending the wire between both support columns. This feature is characterized by the fact that it can be stretched out.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below using figures. In Figures 3 to 5, a pair of supports 2 are established on the machine stand 1 at a certain interval, screws 6 are carved on the circumferential surface of the support posts 2, and the machine stand between both supports 2, 2 is installed. The point that the trolley 5 can travel along the road 1 is the same as the conventional one.
Although the figure shows an example of a structure in which the cart 5 is made to run under its own weight along the inclined table 1A, the present invention is not limited to this.

In this case, a rotary ring 7 is screwed onto the screw 6 of the support column 2, a heat wire 3 is wound in a V-shaped groove 8 formed on the circumferential surface of the ring 7, and the heat wire 3 is stretched between both support columns 2, 2. An insulator 9 and a spring 10 are connected to both ends of the wire 3, and the terminal of the spring 10 is fixed to the machine frame 1B with bolts and nuts 11. In the embodiment, an example is shown in which the support 2 is insulated from the machine base 1 and the machine frame 1B, the power line 12 is connected to the support 2, and this is used as an electrode rod.

In FIG. 3, by rotating the rotary ring 7, the ring 7 is moved upward or downward along the screw 6, adjusted to a desired height position, and the wire 3 is stretched between both rings 7, 7. Then, both ends of the wire 3 are fixed to the machine frame 1B with bolts and nuts 11. Next, electricity is applied to the wire 3 through the pillars 2, 2, and the wire 3 is heated to a high temperature. on the other hand,
A block B made of foamed polystyrene or the like is mounted on a trolley 5, and the trolley 5 is made to run under its own weight downward from the upper end of the table 1A. As the cart 5 advances, the block B crosses the heated wire 3, the cart 5 reaches the lower end of the table 1A, and the block B is cut horizontally at a predetermined height position.

When cutting block B into three pieces, use post 2.
After attaching two or more rotating rings 7 to the holder and adjusting the position of each rotating ring 7,
The same operation as described above may be performed by stretching the wire 3 between the corresponding rotating rings 7, 7. In addition, in order to fix the rotating ring 7 in a fixed position on the support column 2, a slit 13 is provided in the radial direction of the ring 7, as shown in FIG. 14 through set screw 1
It may be tightened at 5. Alternatively, as shown in FIG.
can also be fixed in place. Rotating ring 7
In order to increase the adjustment accuracy, it is desirable to make the pitch of the screws 6 of the support 2 finer.

This proposal is based on the pillar 2 installed on the machine base 1 as described above.
Screw the rotating ring 7 onto the screw 6 of the
Since the wire 3 stretched between the two is held on the circumference of the rotating ring 7, the position of the wire 3 can be freely set steplessly by rotating the rotating ring 7. According to experiments, when a Styrofoam block with a size of 2000 m/m x 425 m/m x 930 m/m was cut using the proposed device, ±
It was possible to cut with an accuracy of 0.2m/m.

Therefore, according to the present device, the tensioning position of the wire 3 can be freely adjusted within the height range of the support column 2, and this operation is performed by moving the rotary ring 7 up and down along the screw 6. Since it is only necessary to hold the wire 3 on the circumference thereof, it is possible to obtain a product with high dimensional accuracy through a simple operation.
