A commonly used rivet caulking machine is shown in FIG. 1, and has a built-in compression spring 1 that urges the caulking guide portion 10 at the tip of the guide pin 100 to always protrude upward by a predetermined amount. Works 5 and 6 are placed at the upper end of a roll set 300, which is composed of an anvil 3 having a recess 3a at its tip for guiding the expansion of the legs 2a of the hollow rivet 2, and a stopper 4 for regulating the amount of descent of the guide pin 100. The guide pin 100 is loosely inserted into the caulking hole 7, the workpieces 5 and 6 are placed, and the stem 9 presses the hollow rivet 2 held by the upper left and right pair of jaws 8, so that the leg portion 2 of the rivet 2 is removed.
A is guided by a guide pin 100 to the caulking holes 7 of 5 and 6, and the leg portion 2a of the hollow rivet 2 is caulked along the recess 3a of the anvil 3.

However, the shape of the caulking guide portion 10 at the tip of the guide pin 100 conventionally used in this rivet caulking machine has radiuses R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 in its cross-sectional shape, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 . It is a curved surface with a contour that is a composite of the circular arcs formed respectively, and the radii R 1 , R 2 , R 3 of these arcs are usually determined by the diameter d of the leg of the hollow rivet 2 and the diameter a of the leg hole of the rivet 2 or the diameter of the leg of the rivet 2. Since each is determined according to the combination with the wall pressure t, there are many types of hollow rivets made by these combinations, and the guide pin must be set according to the hollow rivet to be caulked.
For this reason, it is necessary to prepare many types of guide pins in advance, or to manufacture guide pins that are suitable for each case, but in any case, it is necessary to prepare many types of general-forming bits as processing tools, or to make them suitable for each case. It was either made by processing the blade of For this reason, it is necessary to store many types of general-forming bits, which requires a large storage space, and when machining the blades of general-forming bits, the shape is complex, so
There were problems such as difficulty in obtaining a consistent blade shape.

Reference numeral 100 designates a rod-shaped guide pin that guides the leg portion 2a of the hollow rivet 2 into the caulking hole 7 of the works 5, 6 during caulking work using the stem 9. A caulking guide portion 10 having a pointed tip shape for guiding is formed. This caulking guide part 10 has a flat surface 10a at the tip, a concave guide surface 10b whose cross-sectional shape is an arc having a radius R1 centered on the extension of this plane, and a concave guide surface 10b whose cross-sectional shape is centered on the flat surface 10a.
and a convex caulking surface 10c having a circular arc shape with a radius R 2 and connecting so as to be in contact with the guide surface 10b.
It is composed of. Further, the guide surface 10b intersects the straight portion 11 of the guide pin 100 on the circumference of the rod-shaped guide pin 100, and the radius R 1 forming the guide surface 10b with respect to the distance L from this intersection to the plane 10b is They have the relationship R 1 ≧L.

Next, as shown in FIG. 5, reference numeral 200 is a general cutting tool that forms the caulking guide portion 10 of this guide pin 100. The determined half-section outline of the caulking guide portion 10 of the guide pin 100 is formed, and by cutting the end of the guide pin material with this bit 200, a caulking guide as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 is formed. A guide pin 100 having a section 10 is obtained. In addition, when the wall thickness t of the leg portion 2a of the hollow rivet 2 is the same but the leg diameter d is changed, the same general tool bit 200 as described above is used.
You can cut it using. Furthermore, hollow rivets 2
If the leg diameter d of the rivet 2 is the same but the wall thickness t is changed, use a pre-prepared general tool bit 200 that matches the outline of the caulking guide portion 10 of the guide pin 100 according to the wall thickness t of the rivet 2. Bye.

After the guide pin 100 manufactured in this manner is biased by the compression spring 1 so that the tip thereof protrudes on the anvil 3, the works 5 and 6 are placed on the anvil 3, and the stem 9 and the pair of left and right jaws are placed on the anvil 3. 8,
8 to a predetermined position, and then lower the stem 9.
When only the rivet 2 is lowered, the guide pin 10
0 and is loosely inserted into the caulking holes 7 of the works 5 and 6. The guide pin 100 stops at the stopper 4, which is set in advance so that the guide pin 100 stops at a predetermined position below the anvil 3, and the stem 9 further descends, so that the hollow rivet 2 is attached to the caulking surface 10c of the caulking guide portion 10. , Information surface 10
b. The anvil 3 is caulked by the recess 3a, and the caulking work is completed. Thereafter, the stem 9 rises together with the jaws 8, 8, so that the tip of the guide pin 100 is again projected above the anvil 3 by the compression spring 1 and returns to its original position.

Since the guide pins are as explained above, in the past, a dedicated general tool bit was required for each guide pin that corresponds to each type of hollow rivet.
According to the present invention, regardless of the diameter d of the rivet leg, it is only necessary to consider the condition of the wall thickness t of the hollow rivet leg.
The diameter d of the leg is changed and the diameter D of the guide pin is changed.
The same total form byte can be used even if the values are changed. Furthermore, when crimping hollow rivets with different wall thicknesses t, it is sufficient to use a full-form cutting tool having a blade corresponding to the wall thickness t, which reduces the number of types of full-form cutting tools that can be stored.

Moreover, since the tip of the caulking guide portion of the guide pin has a flat tip, the shape is simple, and the guide pin can always have a constant shape. Also, since the tip is not a guide pin with an arc-shaped tip as in the past,
Even if the depth of the hole in the hollow rivet is shallow by the height H of the arcuate surface, the guide pin of the present invention can perform caulking work, which has extremely remarkable effects.
