り等に於いては、大型で重量のあるリールを装着
した釣竿をもつぱら釣人が握持支承するのが通常
であるが、釣竿を長時間握持する事は釣人に肉体
的疲労を強ることとなり、また単に船縁に釣竿の
一部を上載する方法があるが、釣竿の上部に装着
されたリールの重量で左右に倒れ易く不安定な状
態であり、船が荒波で大きく揺れた場合などは完
全に釣竿を支持することができず、釣竿を海中に
