を上記の前者スプールから引出しながら被転写紙に密着
させてリボン基材側からサーマルヘッドを介して加熱す
ることでインクを溶融、ハク離させて転写する熱転写型
プリンタにおいて、インクリボンの一定長ごとに光を透
過するマーカを設けておき、カセット・ケースの側壁に
上記マーカ位置検出用の窓を設け、この窓に対向するイ
ンクリボンの内側位置に反射鏡を取付け、カセット・ケ
ースの外部より上記窓を介して光を投射し上記反射鏡か
らの反射光を検出する投受光器を設けたことを特徴とす
