Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize the titled device as an input device of any type of display devices or a computer input device by detecting the position of a light pen through a photosensor with the light of the light pen. CONSTITUTION:The input device consists of slits 8 arranged at two corners adjacent to each other on a display screen 1a of a display device and formed on the flat plates 2 made of a material which does not transmit the light, a light pen 4 which makes optical frequencies out of the visible light radial, and a photosensor group 3 contains plural photosensors arrayed in an arc form centering on the slit 8, for reception of the beams transmitted through each slit 8. The position of the pen 4 is detected on the scope 1a with the combination of the photosensors 3 that received the light of the pen 4 of both the photosensor groups. Thus it is possible to detect the position of the pen 4 without setting a circuit into the device 1 itself nor providing a special circuit or mechanism on the screen 1a like a conventional case.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Technical Field] The present invention relates to an input device in which the display screen of a display device such as a CRT display, which is an output device of a computer, is used as an input section to the computer. ] As a conventional device for detecting the position on the CR7 screen, a device with a photo sensor, such as a light pen, is used as the C17.
There are methods to detect the position by sequentially applying light from a CRT to the screen, and methods to detect the position by placing a transparent conductor or glass on the CR7 screen like a touch panel or pressure sensor. In the former case, it is limited to a CR7 display device, and in the latter case, some kind of modification must be done on the display device, which is inconvenient.

3) to 3 are diagrams showing an embodiment of the present invention, and show the compatibility between a display device such as a CRT display, which is an output device of a computer, and a display screen (1a) of a display device (1). A slit (8) with a flat plate (2) made of a material that does not transmit light, arranged in two adjacent corners, a light pen (4) that emits light outside of visible light radially, and a light pen. (4) comprises a plurality of light receiving sensors that receive the light transmitted through each slit (8), and a light receiving sensor group (3) arranged in an arc with the slit (8) at the center. The structure of the above-mentioned light pen (4) will be explained with reference to FIG. This light pen (4) has a lamp (6) attached to the tip of the pen tip (4a), and a lamp (6) when the lamp (+i) is pressed against the display screen (1a) of the display device fil. ) and a switch (6) to illuminate the lamp (
It consists of a switch (6) and a spring (7) for releasing the shutter (6) so that it does not light up except when it is pressed against the display screen (1a). The operation of the above-mentioned input device will be explained in conjunction with FIG. Light pen (4) and display device (1)
) on the display screen (la), the lamp (6) of the light pen (4) will emit light, this light will pass through the slit (8), and the light pen (4) will emit light.
The light is irradiated onto the light-receiving sensors of the left and right light-receiving t-fusa groups (3) corresponding to the positions of. The output of each light receiving sensor that receives the light from this light pen (4) is inputted into a matrix circuit (91K) and converted into a signal according to the position of the light pen (4).The output signal of this matrix circuit (9) The arithmetic circuit (IOIK) reads data stored in advance in the memory circuit (11), and the computer is connected to the light pen (4).
It is operated according to a command corresponding to the position of K, and the contents of the K command are displayed on the display screen (Ia) of one display device (1).

A projected slit, a light pen that radially emits light at a frequency outside of visible light, and multiple light receiving sensors that receive the light emitted by the light pen and transmitted through each slit are arranged in an arc around the slit. The position of the light pen on the display screen is detected by the combination of the light receiving sensors that receive the light from the light pen in both light receiving T-frame groups. The position of one light ben can be detected by incorporating a circuit or by applying a special circuit or mechanism on the display screen.
Regardless of the type of display device, the circuit can be simplified and the cost can be reduced compared to providing a complicated circuit or mechanism to the display screen. In addition, since the light receiving sensor detects the position of the light pen using the light emitted by the light pen, it is possible to use an adapter type input device as a separate device, so it can be used as an input device for any type of display device or computer. It can also be used as a device, has excellent versatility, and has an advantageous effect in terms of repair because only the input device needs to be replaced.
