〔産業上の利用範囲〕
本発明は電子写真複写機、同プリンターなど静電写真プ
ロセスを利用する画像形成装置のクリーニング装置に関

気中の分子が変化し、窒素酸化物等の物質を生成する場
合がある。これらのコロナ生成物は像担持体表面に付着
して高湿環境下において、像担持体表面の抵抗が下が〕
、像担持体表面に形成される静電#像をボケさせてしま
う等の悪影響をおよぼすことがある。従来、上記の悪影
響を除去するため像担持体を加熱し、乾燥させる方法や
、シリコンゴムなどのロー2−を像担持体表mK圧接し
て回転させることによシ、像担持体表面を摺擦、コロナ
生成物を取)除く方法などが提案されている。特に後者
の方法は、像担持体の長期間の使用にも安定し九効果が
あ)、また、像担持体表rjjiK1紙などの転写部材
中の物質が付着したシ、トナーが融着した場合の除去に
も効果があ)、優れ九方法である。第1図に、この方法
の1実施例の構成を示す。図中101は、円筒状の感光
体であ)、同一矢印入方向に回転する。この感光体10
1はコロナ放電器102により均−帯電された後、像露
光105が照射されて原稿に対応し友静′wtm像が形
成され、現像手段104によって顕画化される。顕画化
されたトナー1は、転写部材送〕105から供給される
