Abstract

PURPOSE:To acquire an efficient communication line in a packet exchange network by connecting a call connection request from a terminal equipment to an optional terminal equipment via a termination station of a fixed connection communication line and substituting the selective connection even at a fault of the fixed connection communication line. CONSTITUTION:Packet exchange stations A,B-D are connected mutually via relay lines R1,R2-R4 respectively, a terminal equipment T1 is connected to the station A, a terminal equipment T2 is connected to the station C and a terminal equipment T3 is connected to the station D. Then patterns 1-4 are set by using respectively a fixed connection request signal from the terminal T1 in the fixed connection communication line between the terminal equipment T1 and the stations A-D. When the fixed connection request signal is transmitted from the terminal equipment T1 in the pattern 2, for example, the stations A, B receive it and the communication line with the terminal equipment T1 is set. Then the data transmitted from the terminal equipment T1 is transmitted to the station B and connected selectively to the opposite terminal equipment T2 according to the address information set in the data. If a fault takes place in the relay line R2 between the stations B and C, the station B is connected selectively to the opposite terminal equipment T2 via the relay lines R3 and R4.

(Prior art) Conventionally, fixed connection services in packet switching networks are services only between two terminals accommodated in the packet switching network, and communication permission for fixed connection services depends on the maintenance of the packet switching center that accommodates the terminals. This was done through registration processing from the operational typewriter.

Therefore, only limited communication is possible between two terminals,
In order to secure the communication path between two terminals, the communication path within the network is putting pressure on other selective connection service calls, and even when changing the communication partner, the change processing from the maintenance operation typewriter at the packet switching center is performed. Furthermore, if a failure occurs in the fixed connection communication path, there is a drawback that communication becomes impossible unless changes are made by the maintenance/operation typewriter.

(Objective of the Invention) The object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks inherent in conventional fixed connection services, to eliminate the troublesome registration process by maintenance typewriters at packet switching centers, and to enable arbitrary registration according to the content of requests from terminals. An object of the present invention is to provide a semi-permanent call setting method in a packet-switched network, which enables connection processing with terminals in the packet switching network, and which can secure a communication path even if a fixed connection communication path failure occurs by replacing it with a selective connection.

A fixed connection communication path is set up between the terminal and a station that is not accommodated by the other end, or between the terminal and the other end terminal, and in response to a call connection request from the terminal, the terminal station of the fixed connection communication path connects to the other end. A semi-permanent call setting system in a packet switching network is obtained, which is characterized in that a communication path is set up for the fixed connection communication path, and when the fixed connection communication path fails, the communication path is set up by selective connection.
