CONSTITUTION:When the openable cover 15 is opened in fitting the recording paper, the paper guide 13 is lowered in conjunction with the turning action of the cover 15 to eliminate the gap between the ink sheet 5 and the guide 13, and a leading end part 12 of the paper is led to the contact point of a platen 9 and a guide roll 11 by utilizing the difference between the radius of the platen 9 and the radius of curvature of the guide 13.
