Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a crown operation unnecessary by shifting the position of a long hand only by touching a cover glass with a finger and correcting the time. CONSTITUTION:A comparator circuit 6 compares a position detected by a touch position detection circuit 2 with that of the long hand of a clock counter 5, and obtains their difference. A motor 7 is normally used for driving the clock, and the long hand is driven by the amount obtained by the comparator circuit 6 at correcting the time. At this time, the motor 7 makes two turns, that is, normal and revers ones, in the direction where a transparent electrode 1 touched with a finger and the long hand can make below 180 deg.. Twelve transparent electrodes 1 are fitted by five-minite interval, and touched with a finger in the corrected state to move the long hand. When a finger is made turn along the transparent electrode 1, the correction more than one hour can be attained.

FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of time adjustment using the electronic timepiece of the present invention. Twelve transparent electrodes in No. 1 are attached at 5-minute intervals, and when the transparent electrodes are touched in the corrected state, the long hand moves by the circuit described above. The hour hand is 30 per hour as usual.
Since the degree changes, it is possible to make corrections for more than an hour by placing your finger on the transparent electrode and rotating it.

FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the touch position detection section of the electronic timepiece according to the present invention. When the watch case part is brought into contact with a human body and a finger touches the transparent electrode 1, a capacitive component is generated between the electrode facing the contact part and the watch case 2. The touch position detection circuit in No. 5 measures and compares the capacitance changes of each electrode to detect the electrode input. In this way, you can switch modes without operating the crown and simply touch your finger on the cover glass. The time can be easily adjusted, and since no transmission is required, the number of mechanical parts is reduced and reliability is improved.

また、デザイン面から見ても、よりシンプルな物が可能

Also, from a design perspective, it is possible to create something simpler.

As described above, the present invention not only allows the time to be easily adjusted without operating the crown, but also reduces the number of mechanical parts such as a liise necessary for time adjustment, improving reliability. Since there is no need to drill a hole for the liaison, the case processing becomes simpler and costs can be reduced. Furthermore, since it does not require a lily, it completely eliminates water seepage through the use hole, which is impossible with conventional watches, and even low-cost watches can be far more waterproof than conventional watches.
