くイメージ領域との境界を指定するためのイメー
ジ領域基準マーカを有する文書載置用テーブルと
、前記カーソル領域及び前記イメージ領域から光
像を同時に受取るように主走査方向に整列して設
けられた電荷転送デバイス・アレイから成る走査
手段と、クロツク手段からのクロツク・パルスに
応じて前記走査手段から逐次に読取られる電気信
号を予定のスレツシヨルド値と比較して該電気信
号を２値化するための比較手段とを備えて成る文
書走査装置において； 前記カーソル領域及び前記イメージ領域からの
電気信号を２値冠するために使用すべき第１およ
び第２のスレツシヨルド値をそれぞれ供給するよ
うに前記比較手段へそれぞれ接続された第１及び
第２のスレツシヨルド記憶手段と；前記第１及び
第２スレツシヨルド記憶手段を選択的に可能化す
るためのスイツチ手段と；前記クロツク手段から
のクロツク・パルスをカウントしてそのカウント
値が前記カーソル領域と前記イメージ領域との境
界に達したことを指示するとき前記スイツチ手段
を作動させるためのカウンタ手段とを備えたこと
