Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent misoperations from occurring, by a method wherein a constant-rotation clutch provided in a transmitting system for connecting a printer and a paper-supplying device to each other when a power source for the printer is thrown in or at the time of selective use of the paper-supplying device is located at a home position when starting the use of the paper-supplying device. CONSTITUTION:When the power source is thrown in to a drive source (pulse motor) for rotating the platen 1 of the printer, or by operating a paper-supplying mode selecting switch provided for the printer, an electric current is fed to the pulse motor for the platen 1 for a fixed period of time, thereby rotating the platen 1 by an amount sufficient for rotating the constant-rotation clutch by one cycle. By this, the clutch located at an intermediate position is returned to the home position to prepare for a normal paper-supplying operation. The clutch (in a disengaged condition) located at the home position is maintained at that position.

In this type of device, when the paper feed roller installed in the paper feed stacker is driven and connected to the rotating shaft of the platen by a transmission means such as a gear or a belt, the following problems occur. However, when both are rotated in forward and reverse directions at the same time, there is an inconvenience that the platen feeds the next sheet of paper as the platen advances during printing, and a clutch must be installed between the platen and the paper feed roller. is an electromagnetic clutch, and the clutch is connected to a transmission state in response to a paper feed instruction signal from the printing device.

Therefore, the present applicant connected the rotation axis of the platen and the rotation axis of the paper feed roller with a constant rotation clutch such as a one-turn clutch, and connected this clutch to a transmission state when the platen rotated a predetermined amount, and then rotated the platen forward or The reverse rotation is transmitted to the paper feed roller, and when the clutch has made a predetermined rotation (one rotation, half a rotation, etc.), the clutch is automatically disengaged and the paper feed roller finishes feeding the paper. created.

However, if the user accidentally turns off the power to the device while the constant rotation clutch is rotating to feed paper, or when a paper jam is discovered and the power is turned off, the constant rotation clutch may change to the home position (initial position). ) may come to a stop in a state where the vehicle is not located. In this case, if you try to turn on the power again and continue operation, the initial position of the constant rotation clutch will be incorrect, causing an unexpected malfunction.

The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and aims to reduce the constant rotation in the transmission system that connects the printing device and the paper feeding device when starting to use the paper feeding device, turning on the power of the printing device, or selecting the use of the paper feeding device. The clutch is positioned at the home position.

1a) and the rotating shaft (9a) of the paper feed roller (9). When it stops in the state shown in Figure (C) and then moves on to the next operation (paper feeding cycle), the constant rotation clutch is at its home position (as shown in Figure 2 (I ) becomes incorrect and the transmission means (15) malfunctions.

Therefore, when the power is turned on to the drive source (pulse motor) that rotates the platen (1) of the printing device, or when the paper feed mode selection switch prepared in the printing device is operated, the platen (1)
) is rotated to return the stopped constant rotation clutch to the home position, and the constant rotation clutch (disengaged) in the home position is maintained at position 5.

As shown in the control chart in Figure 3, when the device is powered on or the paper feed mode switch is selected, the platen (1
) sends current for a certain period of time to the pulse motor of the platen (1
) rotate quickly enough for the constant rotation clutch to rotate for one cycle.

A paper feed stacker and a paper ejection stacker are installed on the platen of a printing device equipped with an appropriate print head, the paper on the paper feed stacker is sequentially fed to the platen by a paper feed roller, and the paper after printing is ejected. A printing device equipped with a paper feeding device housed in a stacker is connected to the rotating shaft of the paper feeding roller and the rotating shaft of the platen by a transmission means via a constant rotation clutch, and the paper feeding roller is driven by the rotation of the platen. The automatic printer is configured to feed out the paper at a time, and when the printing device is turned on or an automatic paper feeding mode is selected, the platen (1) is rotated by a certain amount and the constant rotation clutch is positioned at the home position. Printing device with paper feed device.
