In these general transfer foils, a water-soluble or solvent-soluble release layer is provided between the support and the transfer layer, and the adhesive layer is made of an adhesive that does not dissolve in water or solvent. , is formed into a pattern, and then washed with water or solvent to remove parts other than the characters and design.
This is a pattern-shaped transfer layer that remains, and in use, the character or pattern-shaped transfer layer is adhered to other parts by simply applying pressure or heating from the support side.

The release layer (2) is provided when the releasability of the transfer layer (5) is poor, and depends on the type of support (1) and the color layer (3).
) If the releasability of the transfer layer is good due to the combination of types, it is not necessary to provide the above. The release layer (2) is made of, for example, cellulose acetate butyrate, acrylic resin, chlorinated polyolefin,
It is formed using resins such as chlorinated rubber, rubbers, or waxes.

As the colored layer (3), for example, a colored resin M or a metal vapor deposited layer, or a combination of an uncolored or colored resin layer and a metal vapor deposited layer is used. In particular, a combination of a resin layer and a metal vapor deposited layer that becomes a protective layer for the metal vapor deposited layer after transfer is preferable.
At that time, by coloring the resin layer with a transparent colorant, various metallic luster colors can be obtained. Examples of the resin for the resin layer include thermosetting resins such as urea resin, melamine resin, maleated rosin, and polyurethane, thermoplastic resins such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, nitrocellulose, polyester, acrylic resin, and polyamide. , a mixture of the thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin, and the like. The thickness of the resin layer is usually about 0.5 to 6 μm. Metals for the metal vapor deposition layer include aluminum, zinc, copper, chromium, nickel,
Single metals such as silver, gold, platinum, or alloys of two or six or more of these metals may be used, and the thickness may be 30 to 150 mm.

The adhesive layer (4) is formed using a pressure-sensitive adhesive (including adhesive,
The same applies hereinafter) and a heat-sensitive adhesive can be used. As the pressure-sensitive adhesive, one mainly composed of a carboxyl group-containing polyacrylate such as a copolymer of an acrylic acid alkyl ester such as 2-ethylhexyl acrylate or butyl acrylate and acrylic acid or methacrylic acid is used. Further, as the pressure-sensitive adhesive, a pressure-sensitive adhesive encapsulating four microphones can also be used. Examples of the pressure-sensitive adhesive for encapsulating microphones include solvent-reactivated capsule adhesives using polyisobutylene, polyvinyl ether, polysiloxane, or the like as an adhesive base. Such encapsulated pressure-sensitive adhesives significantly shorten the time required for reactivation compared to conventional pressure-sensitive adhesives where the dry coating film is not sealed with a solvent before bonding, and the time required for reactivation is significantly shortened. Since the initial adhesive strength is changed and the surface of the adhesive layer is non-adhesive, plain paper can be used as the release sheet (6).

As the release sheet (6), normal paper can be used as paraffin,
Copolymers of silicone resins, fluororesins such as polytetrafluoroethylene, monomers such as acrylic esters, vinyl esters, vinyl ethers, acrylamides, maleic acid derivatives, allyl esters, and functional group-containing monomers, or copolymers of these monomers with polyvinyl alcohol, The material used is one that has been subjected to a mold release treatment with a mold release agent such as a gray copolymer with cellulose or the like. Additionally, plain paper may be used in some cases.

The thus obtained laminated sheet is pressed or heated from the side of the support (1) using a press having a stamp 00) as shown in FIG. When the adhesive layer (4) is made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, it is usually sufficient to apply only pressure, but heating may also be applied, and when the adhesive layer (4) is made of a heat-sensitive adhesive, heating and pressure are applied.

In the transfer sheet material of the present invention, the adhesive strength between the transfer layer (5b) and the release sheet (6) in the non-pressure area is the adhesive strength between the transfer layer (5b) and the support (1). Of course, the adhesive strength between the transfer layer (5a) and the release sheet (6) at the pressurized area is smaller than that between the transfer layer (5a) and the support (1). It is necessary that the adhesive strength is greater than that of .

For this purpose, it is necessary for the adhesive layer of the transfer layer (5a) at the pressurized area to adhere to the release sheet (6) somewhat strongly when pressure is applied or heated and pressurized. It is necessary to appropriately select the type of mold release sheet (6) and the type of release sheet (6). For example, a combination of an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and a silicone resin-treated paper, a combination of a microcafuslated pressure-sensitive adhesive and plain paper, a combination of a vinyl acetate-based heat-sensitive adhesive and a polyethylene-treated paper, etc. are suitable.

As described above, the transfer sheet material of the present invention has the following characteristics:
During use, apply the release sheet (6) to the transfer layer (5a) at the pressurized area.
By peeling off the transfer layer (5b) as one piece, the transfer layer (5b) in the unpressurized area remains on the support (1) side, and by overlaying and transferring the obtained intermediate transfer material on other parts, desired characters and designs are formed. The transferred image can be transferred to other objects.

[Scope of Claims] 1. A sheet material in which a transfer layer consisting of a color layer and an adhesive layer, and a release sheet are laminated in this order on one side of a flexible support having mold releasability, Pressure is applied to the sheet material at least partially from the support side so that the transfer layer in the area where pressure is applied when peeling the release sheet can be peeled off as one with the release sheet. A transfer sheet material in which the transfer layer in the non-existent areas constitutes desired characters and designs and is added so that they can remain on the support side. 2. The transfer sheet material according to claim 1, wherein the color layer comprises a resin layer and a metal vapor deposited layer.
