When using the writing instrument, a gripping force greater than one can imagine is required, and this may result in a gradual decrease in writing pressure or stiffness as the writing instrument is continuously used.
This was thought to be a factor in optic nerve fatigue.

Rather than simply holding the writing instrument, the fingertips are designed to effectively prevent the occurrence of grip fatigue during continuous use, and to easily and reliably ensure the writing condition based on the same writing pressure. It is designed to ensure that

This allows for arbitrary modifications. Furthermore, in such a configuration, since the writing instrument body and the mounting were constructed separately from the contact pressure rod used, the existing writing instrument body could be used as is. Furthermore, in the event that the writing instrument in use becomes unusable due to wear and tear of the ink, the writing instrument has the feature that the contact pressure rod can be easily attached to another writing instrument and used.

This increased the burden on the heel of the wrist and was thought to be the cause of a decrease in grip strength or a unique grip. Further, the continuous operation of applying the unique pressure of the pen causes stiffness in the wrists, upper arms, and shoulders, which has been considered to be the cause of headaches and decreased visual acuity.
