Abstract
Description
〔発明の目的〕
本発明は押出機fおける多量の水分や余分な揮発分等(
以下単に揮発分等という)の除去するためのベントスタ
ッファ等の揮発分等の除去装置に関する。
〔従来技術〕
揮発分等を含有するポリマーを押出成形する時は通常、
シリンダの途中に開口部を設けて減圧することにより、
前記揮発分箸全除去するベント式押出機では溶融ポリマ
ーが発泡1,てし7まい、ベントロを’Ilrでベント
効果を無くして1.まりという欠点があるため、発泡1
たポリマーヲ押出機内へ強制的に押1,戻1,、揮発分
等のみを除去するペントスフリファ等の揮発分除去装置
が使用されている。この種の装置f第1図ない〔7第3
図に示すように単軸又は2軸のスクリュ1を電動機8等
により回転自在に挿入し7たシリンダ2ft押出機3の
主シリンダ4の開口部5に取付け、前記シリンダ2に設
けた開口部6から揮発分等を減圧によに、あるいは大気
に排出するようになっている。・〔従来装置の問題点〕
しか1、この装mは主スクリユ7の溝内を通過するポリ
マーの揮発分等の含有量、溶融粘度およびポリマー温度
等の関係で、その発泡が急激に起きた場合、発生ガスの
流速は非常に太きぐなり、発泡によってちぎれたポリマ
ーが発生ガスと一緒にスクリュ1内を逆流し開口部6へ
留ったり、減圧用の配管等に詰ったりする結果、滞留ポ
リマーが劣化され、この劣化されたポリマーが再びスク
リュ1により主スクリユ7内へ戻され、製品物性に悪影
響を与える欠点があった。
、〔発明の構成〕
以上のような従来装置にある欠点を除去し、ペントスタ
ッファの開口部に飛び出して来るポリマーとガスを分離
し、ガスのみを排出するとともにポリマー′を劣化しな
い前に主スクリー内へ戻すために単軸又は2軸のスクリ
ーを電動機等の駆動装置により回転自在に挿入したシリ
ンダを押出機の主シリンダの開口部に取付け、前記押出
機に取付たシリンダの少くとも1個以上設けた開口部に
スクリュとの間に可能な限りデッドスペースを少くする
とともに、前記シリンダ内の揮発分等のみ通過させ、ポ
リマーは通過させな贋ようにされたスクリーンを設けた
ものである。

通過出来るが、ポリマー等は通過が出来ないようになっ
ている。
大気開放式は以上に述たような構成で良いが、真空ポン
プ等により減圧する場合には、このスクリーン】7の周
囲を気密に保つための気密容器18を設け、図示してな
い真空ポンプ等により排出管19を介して揮発分等を矢
印a方向に吸引するよう妃なっている。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明に以上説明したような構成となっているので、ガ
ス等の揮発分等のみ通過することが出来、発泡によって
ちぎれたポリマーはスクリーンヲ通過することが出来ず
直ちにスクリュ13により再び押出機(図示1−でなめ
)内へ押戻されるようになっている。
前述した実施例は単軸スクリーで説明したが、@7図お
