Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) A unit cell consisting of a non-conductive electrolyte matrix that impregnates and retains an electrolyte, a pair of gas diffusion electrodes that sandwich the electrolyte matrix, and a gas separation plate that supplies fuel and oxidizer to the gas diffusion electrodes. A fuel cell comprising a multilayer electrolyte matrix consisting of a coarse particle electrolyte matrix layer with good electrolyte permeability and a fine particle electrolyte matrix layer with good electrolyte retention.

(2) The fuel cell according to claim 1, which is a registered utility model, and includes an electrolyte reservoir to which a coarse particle electrolyte matrix layer provided on a gas separation plate is connected.

(3) The fuel cell according to claim 1, wherein the coarse particle electrolyte matrix is a coarse particle layer of 3 μm or more, and the fine particle electrolyte matrix is a fine particle layer of 1 μm or less.
