一部を切欠いた弾性リングと、係合ピンとを備え、前記
メス嵌合部の内側面に保合溝を埋設管の周方向に設ける
と共に、そのメス嵌合部に透孔を係合溝と交差するよう
に設け、一方前記オス嵌合部の外側面に保合溝を埋設管
の周方向に設け、−の埋設管のオス嵌合部の保合溝に弾
性リングを嵌め込み、その−の埋設管オス嵌合部に他の
埋設管のメス嵌合部を、弾性リングめ切欠部とメス嵌合
部の透孔とが合致するように外嵌し、そのメス嵌合部の
透孔に係合ピンを嵌め込んで弾性リングを拡げ、その弾
性リングをオス嵌合部の係合溝とメス嵌合部の係合溝と
に係合させ、この弾性リングの剪断強さにより埋設管に
加わる圧縮荷重または引張荷重を受けるように構成し、
かくして ゛なる埋設管の先頭部を推進装置の後
部に接続し、その埋設管の後部に発進立坑内に設置己た
推進装置を当接し、掘進装置および推進装置を作動させ
て埋設管を順次継ぎ足しながら地盤中に推進埋設する推
進工法の埋設管の継手装置において、前記弾性リングお
よびメス嵌合部の保合溝の軸方向に対して前面側、後面
側の内生なくとも何れか一方にテーパ面を、内側面から
外側面にかけて巾が狭くなるように設けたことを特徴と
