Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a completely water-proofed tough sheet resistant to breakage, by impregnating asphalt to a bulky nonwoven substrate composed of synthetic fiber filaments from one surface to the middle of the thickness, and then impregnating another kind of asphalt into the remaining porous part of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A bulky nonwoven substrate 1 composed of randomly interlocked synthetic fiber filaments and manufactured by the needle punch method, is impregnated with an asphalt 2 (e.g. blown asphalt) from one surface to about the middle of the thickness (the total thickness is e.g. about 4-6mm.) leaving the other half thickness in an unimpregnated porous state. Another kind of asphalt 3 (e.g. rubber asphalt) is impregnated in the porous part to obtain the objective asphalt sheet. The asphalt sheet manufactured by this process can follow the dimensional change of the concrete base, is tough against tensile rupture, and can give complete water-proofing effect only with the single layer in contrast to the conventional method necessitating the lamination of two or three asphalt sheets.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an asphalt sheet that can be used for multiple purposes such as civil engineering and construction, and in particular, a relatively thick and bulky nonwoven fabric sheet is impregnated with asphalt in half of its thickness. The present invention relates to an asphalt sheet in which the remaining half is in the form of voids not impregnated with asphalt, and the unimpregnated portion is impregnated with asphalt different from the asphalt.

Conventionally, this type of asphalt sheet mainly uses roof ink, and its base material is roof ink paper or a thin non-woven fabric made of short fibers, and is mainly a single-layer sheet impregnated with asphalt. It was used as a waterproof layer.

For this reason, conventional asphalt roof inks have a thickness of around 1,111,111 mm, and when used as a single layer for waterproofing buildings, etc., they can withstand cracks that occur in the underlying concrete and water vapor pressure generated from the concrete layer. Unable to follow the flow, a break occurred and caused a water leak. For this reason, it has been common practice to construct asphalt roof inks by laminating two or three layers together.

The asphalt sheet of the present invention is a relatively thick and bulky non-woven fabric base material, for example, a non-woven fabric with a thickness of about 4 to 6 shades, and half of the thickness of the non-woven fabric is impregnated with asphalt, and the remaining unimpregnated area is impregnated with asphalt. is an asphalt sheet impregnated with different types of asphalt, and as mentioned above, the conventional waterproofing method of applying two or three layers can be completed by applying only one layer. Because the materials are impregnated separately, the asphalt sheet can synergistically exhibit effects according to the characteristics of each asphalt. Asphalt used in this invention,
One side of the layer is impregnated with plain asphalt, and the other side is filled with rubber asphalt, urethane asphalt, or epoxy asphalt, and any combination thereof may be used as appropriate.

The asphalt sheet of the present invention will be explained with reference to the accompanying drawings. The figure shows a cross-sectional view of an asphalt sheet, and (1) shows a nonwoven fabric (1) in which long fibers of synthetic fibers are randomly arranged.
Asphalt (2) is impregnated in half from one side with respect to the thickness of , and the remaining half is made into a nitrogen layer, which is separate from the asphalt impregnated from the other side with respect to the layer of the nitrogen layer. The asphalt (3) having the following properties is impregnated and brought into close contact with the intermediate layer of the nonwoven fabric (1) so that no unimpregnated portion remains.

As described above, the asphalt sheet of the present invention impregnates a thick non-woven fabric base material with two types of asphalt. Therefore, in waterproofing the concrete surface of a roof ring of a building, conventionally two or three layers were used. However, when using the asphalt sheet of the present invention, the construction period is long, and when the weather is bad, it takes a considerable period of time and the final construction period is delayed. However, when using the asphalt sheet of the present invention, it is possible to The construction period is shortened because sufficient waterproofing effects can be obtained during construction. Further, since it is possible to impregnate a suitable combination of asphalts having different physical properties, it is possible to suitably combine asphalts according to differences in crack initiation strength and moisture content, as in the case of the lower coat plate. The base material, non-woven fabric, is made of long synthetic fibers entwined randomly, so it can respond to fluctuations in the underlying concrete, and has particularly strong properties against tensile breakage, so it can be expected to be completely waterproof. It has a long-term effect.
