I couldn't get it. When enlarging a pattern to twice its original size, new dots are filled in the gaps between the previous dots 1 and 1. However, unevenness may occur where the shape changes smoothly. It becomes unnatural. Further, it is only possible to enlarge the image by an integral number of times, and not by a factor of three and a half. On the other hand, when reducing a dot, it is not possible to make the dot itself smaller, so it cannot be done using the same concept as the above-mentioned enlargement. Therefore, the number of dots should be reduced by selecting a location where the appearance of the pattern will not be significantly affected even if the dots themselves are removed. This approach does not result in a proportional reduction of the previous form.

The dot pattern shown in FIG. 1 is stored as is in the original pattern buffer, and then processing is started.

Extract points. Figure 2 shows when scanning in the horizontal direction,
Extract the points where the dots change from "0" to "1" and from "1" to "0", mark them with circles, and store this pattern in the horizontal buffer, so to speak, to create a horizontal border of the pattern. An example is shown in which the shape is obtained. Further, FIG. 3 shows an example of a pattern obtained in the same manner as FIG. 2 when scanning in the vertical direction. Store this pattern in the vertical buffer.

As a result, a set of pattern edging points as shown in FIG. 4 is obtained and stored in the edging buffer. When you connect the border points, a figure is created using the border lines.

If this point is taken as the starting point of the vector, the direction of the vector indicating the border line of the pattern is Vl-V among the eight points around itself, as shown in FIG.
4 directions and itself, and there are no vectors in other directions (because we consider the scanning direction). Therefore ■
Among the directions 1 to V4, when viewed from point S, the one that matches the border line of the pattern is selected, and this is set as the first vector. Next, at the tip of the first vector, those that match the '-edging line are selected from the eight directions in FIG. 5 to obtain a second vector. In addition, the obtained vector stores the magnitude and direction information in the vector buffer, and the processed points are deleted from the border buffer and placed in the row (.When the vector returns to the starting point and there are remaining points, Start creating a new vector.
