Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent toner from falling out of a cartridge holder, and hold a copying machine body and a floor surface invariably clean by attaching a cartridge cleaning member to the exit part of the cartridge holder. CONSTITUTION:An elastic seal member 8 for scraping sticking toner 7 off the external wall of the toner cartridge is provided at the exit part of the cartridge holder 6. Then, when the cartridge is drawn out as shown by an arrow, the sticking toner 7 is scraped off the external wall of the cartridge into a toner box 5 with the elastic seal member 8, and the cartridge is taken out after the external wall is cleaned up. Consequently, no toner falls out of the cartridge holder and the copying machine body and floor surface are held invariably clean.

従来技術 電子写真複写機におけるトナー補給装置は通常トナーカ
ートリッジと称する円筒形のトナー容器を装着してトナ
ーの補給ができるようになっている。このトナーカート
リッジは第１図に示すように円筒形トナー容器（１）と
開口部（２）に施こされた蓋（３）とからなり、複写機
本体内に設けられているトナー戸ツクス（５）と一体に
なっているカートリッジホルダー（６）に挿入〒きるよ
うになっている。トナーρツクス（５）にトナーを供給
する際にはトナーの充填されているトナーカートリッジ
の通常はテープの形の蓋（３）を剥ぎ取って開口部を上
にしたままカートリッジをカートリッジホルダー（６）
に押し込み完全に装着した後、カートリッジの取手（４
）を１８０°回転させて開口部を下に向はトナーをトナ
ーρツクス（５）に供給する。このときにトナーが飛散
してカートリッジの外壁に付着する。複写作業によりト
ナーが消費されてトナーの補給が必要になったときには
、カートリッジの取手を逆方向に１８０°回転して開口
部を上に向け、手前に引いてカートリッジをカートリッ
ジボックスから抜き出し、新たガトナーカートリッジと
交換する。しかしながらカートリッジをカートリッジボ
ックスから抜き出すときに、前記のようにトナー供給の
際にカートリッジ外壁に付着したトナー（７）がトナー
ホシダーに掻き取られてトナーデツクスの外にこぼれて

はトナ２ツクスに完全に捕集されるので床面や操作する
