Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a FRP leaf spring from wear due to the slide contact with the other members for extending fatigue life in a FRP leaf spring device used for an automobile or the like by reinforcing the surface of the FRP leaf spring with alamide '' fibers. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of FRP leaf springs 3 are laminated in the direction of thickness between an axle shaft 1 and a pad 2 of an automobile and fastened through spacers 6 on both widthwise sides by U-bolts 4 spanned between the axle shaft 1 and the pad 2 and nuts 5 screwed thereon. In this case, the surface of the FRP leaf spring 3 is reinforced with ''alamid '' fibers. Thus, the FRP leaf spring 3 can be prevented from being locally worm by the slide contact with the other FRP leaf springs and said respective members 1, 2, 6 and the degradation of spring properties due to temperature rise to extend the fatigue life.

Leaf spring devices used in automobiles and the like tend to use spring plates made of FRP in order to promote weight reduction. However, there was a problem that it was not sufficient for long-term use. This is because the spring plates are in direct contact with each other, their sides are in contact with the spacer, or the bottom of the spring plate is in contact with the pad and receives vibration, resulting in local wear and temperature rise due to minute sliding between the two. This is thought to lead to deterioration of the physical properties of the spring plate in this area, resulting in a shortened fatigue life.

The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an FRP leaf spring device with a long fatigue life.

In the FRP leaf spring device of the present invention, by applying aramid fiber reinforcement with excellent wear resistance to the parts that receive minute sliding while in contact with each other during use, local wear and temperature of each minute sliding part can be reduced. It is possible to prevent the rise of the spring plate and to prevent the deterioration of the characteristics of the spring plate in that part.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be explained below with reference to FIG. 1st
In the figure, the surfaces of the axle shaft 1 and pad 2 of an automobile are covered with a plurality of band-shaped F reinforced with aramid fibers on both surfaces.
The RP spring plate 3 is overlapped in the thickness direction, and the thickness is increased by the U-bolts 4 as an example of a metal supporting rod-shaped member which is stretched over the pad 2 and the axle shirt (l), and the nuts 5 screwed onto these U-bolts. It is tightened in the horizontal direction. Furthermore, spacers 6 are interposed between the spring plate and the U bolt on both sides in the width direction.

According to the above configuration, the FRP spring plate 3 is in contact with the other FRP spring plate 3 stacked on the axle shaft 11, the spacer 6, and the pad 2, respectively, and they slide against each other due to vibration during use. Since its surface is reinforced with aramid fibers, the FRP spring plate will not wear locally or its spring properties will deteriorate due to temperature rise, and its fatigue life is significantly extended compared to conventional devices.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and can be applied even when there is only one FRP spring plate, for example. C, a metal support rod-shaped member provided in the thickness direction adjacent to the side of the FRP spring plate and the above FR
The effect of the present invention is also effective even if at least a small amount of the surface of the spacer interposed between the P spring plate and the P spring plate is reinforced with aramid fiber.
