Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain a free input of various sizes of lines as if these lines were drawn by a pen with the pen holding pressure, by adding a pressure sensor to the tip of an input pen which is used for manual drawing of patterns. CONSTITUTION:An input pen 8 which is operated manually contains a pressure sensor 12 set at the inside of a pen top 11. The top 11 presses the sensor 12 with the pressing force of the pen 8, and the value of this force is delivered through a lead wire 13 in the form of the output of the sensor 12. This output is supplied to a microcomputer via an A/D converter 14 in the form of the digital value. When this input value is 0, no input is decided. When a fixed level of value is supplied, the points are turned on for input processing within a circle which defines the input value as its radius and the coordinate position given from a coordinate position detecting part 9 as its center respectively. In such a way, various sizes of lines can be fed freely as if these lines were drawn by a pen with the pen holding pressure.

However, in conventional graphic input devices with this configuration,
If you just calculate the coordinates of one point and output it, and use this to input MA k, a continuous line of one point will be input, and you can input a thin line, but on the other hand,
In order to input thick lines manually, it was necessary to input the data over and over again.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention eliminates the problems of the prior art as described above.-1
It is an object of the present invention to provide a graphic input device that allows you to freely input lines of any thickness from thick lines to 11+used lines by simply drawing with a pen. Equipped with a layer weight 13 and an input pen with a built-in sensor, when you press the top of the coordinate position detection part to input all the coordinate positions, the pressure you press is detected, and if this pressure is strong, then It is determined that a wide range of points centered on the input point were pressed at the same time, and if the pressure is weak, it is determined that a narrow range of points centered on the manually input point were pressed at the same time. In this way, you can freely input from thick lines to thin lines just like drawing a line with a pen by applying the pressure of the pen.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS FIG. 2 is a block diagram of a graphic input device in a VC according to an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, 8 is an input pen, 9 is a coordinate position detection section, and 10 is an input area determination section. The coordinate position detecting section 9 outputs a coordinate position signal corresponding to a position specified by the input pen 8, and may be used, for example, as shown in FIG. The input pen 8 contacts the coordinate position detecting section 9 to indicate the coordinate position, detects the contact pressure with a built-in pressure sensor, and outputs it as a pressure signal. The input area determination unit 10 has coordinate position detection 1” arrived at 4μ9.
The coordinate position signal from the input pen 8 and the pressure signal from the input pen 8 are input manually. The input area determination i≦1s10 includes the coordinate position indicated by the coordinate position signal based on these inputs,
The area corresponding to the pressure indicated by the pressure signal is defined as an input region.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the configuration of the hand-operated input pen 8 in the embodiment. This input pen 8 has a pen tip 11 made of elastic rubber, and a pressure sensor 12 is provided at the back of the pen tip 11. 12, and its value is output from the lead wire 13 as the output of the pressure sensor 12. The value outputted by this pressure sensor 12 is inputted as a 15V (digital value) to the μm computer 15V (digital value) through the analog-to-digital converter 14, as shown in FIG. As shown in the flowchart in the figure, if the input value is 0, it is treated as if no input has been made, and if a certain value is input, the input value is used as the radius, and the coordinate position detection unit Input processing is performed assuming that points within a circle centered on the coordinate position from 9 are turned on.

According to this embodiment, a pressure sensor is installed at the tip of the pen for inputting coordinates, and the output is digitally converted and inputted to the μcomputer. By processing the points within the radius as being turned on, you can input thick lines by holding down the pen firmly, just like when writing with a brush, and by holding the pen down weakly to draw.
You can enter thin lines.

Effects of the Invention The figure input device of the present invention includes a pressure sensor at the tip of an input pen used when drawing figures by hand, detects the pressure when the hand presses down on the pen, and responds to the magnitude of the pressure. Since the input area is determined by the input area, it is possible to freely input lines of different thicknesses in the same way as drawing a diagram on paper with a brush, which has a great practical effect.
