Because they are used in service industries such as stations, aesthetics are an important commercial value. For this reason, handrails used as handrails on escalators and auto lines are always required to be aesthetically pleasing.

However, handrails are structurally very susceptible to dirt. The handrail is obtained by press vulcanizing an unvulcanized colored decorative rubber layer on top of a core made of thick-edged canvas in the form of a band with a substantially C-shaped cross section. The colored cosmetic rubber layer after vulcanization plays the role of always giving a sense of beauty to an unspecified number of people. However, when viewed microscopically, the surface of the handrail is made up of a rough surface unique to vulcanized rubber, so it is prone to attracting various dirt substances.

That is, since the handrail is touched by the hands of an unspecified number of people when operating an escalator or an auto line, it is inevitable that dirt, chewing gum, dust, etc. will adhere to the surface of the handrail. For this reason, escalator and auto line managers regularly clean the handrail surfaces with clean wet cloths, but they are unable to remove them completely and the dirt gradually becomes more noticeable. This stain can be washed off with surfactants or organic solvents, but in that case discoloration, swelling, and cracking of the colored decorative rubber layer are unavoidable.

The present invention has been made from this point of view, and its purpose is to prevent the hands from leaving any marks even if they come into contact with the hands of an unspecified number of people, and even if they do get marks, they can be cleaned with a damp cloth. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a handrail that can be extracted.

The gist of the present invention is to place a core body in which thick-edged canvas is laminated in a C-shaped band shape in a mold, overlay an unvulcanized colored decorative rubber layer on the core body, and then press vulcanize it. In the method for producing a handrail, a hot melt film having a softening point of 130° C. or less and a thickness of 0.8 mm or less is superimposed on the unvulcanized colored decorative rubber layer, and the upper layer of the hot melt film has a heat softening point of 0.8 mm or less. A linear polymer film having a temperature of 185° C. or higher and a critical surface tension of 34 or lower is layered, and then the thermal softening point of the hot melt film is at least 10° C. or higher,
A method for producing a handrail, characterized in that press vulcanization is carried out at a temperature that is at least 6° C. lower than the thermal softening point of a linear polymer film having a critical surface tension of 34 or less.

In the present invention, the softening point of the Botmelt film used as the upper layer of the unvulcanized colored decorative rubber is set to be below IAO'C and the thickness is set to below 0.8 mm for the following reasons. The reason why the softening point is 130'C or less is that the softening point is 30°C.
The above hot melt film has a temperature range of 130 to 180, which is the commonly used vulcanization temperature range for unvulcanized adhesive/removable rubber for handrails.
This is because bot melt adhesion does not occur in the temperature range of 'C.

In addition, the thickness of the hot melt film was set to 0.8 mm or less because the hot melt adhesion between the colored decorative rubber layer and the linear polymer film with a critical surface tension of 34 or less was 0.8 mm or less.
This is because a hot melt film of a size smaller than 100 ml is sufficient. Examples of this type of hot melt film include polyethylene vinyl acetate copolymer film and polyvinyl butyral film.

The thermal softening point of the linear polymer film is set to 185°C or higher because the linear polymer film with a thermal softening point of 185°C or lower is 130 to 180°C, which is the commonly used vulcanization temperature range for unvulcanized colored decorative rubber for handrails. This is because it is thermally softened at ℃. In addition, the critical surface tension of the linear polymer film is 3
The reason for setting the critical surface tension to 4 or less is that a linear polymer film with a critical surface tension of 34 or less tends to have dirt components such as hand grime stuck to it, and is also easily attacked by surfactants and organic solvents. Linear polymer films with a thermal softening point of 185° C. or higher and a critical surface tension of 34 or lower include polytetrafluoroethylene film, polyfluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer film, polychlorotrifluoroethylene film,
Examples include polyethylenetetrafluoroethylene copolymer.

After one month, the handrail was very dirty and did not come off even after wiping it with a wet cloth. Even when I tried wiping the dirty handrail surface with a neutral detergent, the dirt did not come off completely. Furthermore, when the soiled surface was washed with a mixed solvent of ethanol and xylene in a volume ratio of 1:1, swelling of the decorative rubber layer occurred.

The obtained handrail has low contamination. The reason why the handrail obtained according to the present invention has excellent stain resistance is that it is difficult for contaminants to adhere to it and the critical surface tension is 3.
This is because four or less linear polymer films 21 are provided. Furthermore, this linear polymer film is hot-melt bonded to the vulcanized colored decorative rubber via the hot-melt film 20, and there is no problem in operation.
