DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION In general, it is well known that in the fiber manufacturing process, a continuous fiber bundle is once stored in a can, and then a plurality of cans are put together and taken out from the can again for processing in the post-processing process. There are 3.

Conventionally, as a method for storing fiber bundles in a can, the fiber bundles are ejected with an air nozzle and placed on the can, and the nozzle is rotated around its axis, or the nozzle is swung back and forth and left and right.
Alternatively, there is a method in which the fiber bundle is dropped onto a fixed location and the table on which the can is placed is rotated and revolved, or moved back and forth and left and right to store the fibers in the can.

During the exchange of cans, the fiber bundles continue to fall, so the fiber bundles are received in a tray while the fiber bundles are being replaced by empty cans, and then the tray is moved above the waste storage box. Then, the fiber bundles that are connected between the receiving tray and the can that has finished storing fiber bundles and the can that has started storing fiber bundles are cut by a cutting device installed between these cans and the waste storage box, and then placed in the receiving tray. An automatic method for disposing of fiber bundles is known in which the remaining fiber bundles are discharged into a waste storage box. However, in the above case, the fiber bundles remaining in the tray are discharged to the waste storage box, which increases the amount of waste and reduces the yield of the product.
When moving the tray above the waste storage box, the fiber bundles may be slippery because they are coated with oil, but the fiber bundles may be unnecessarily drawn out of the can due to their own weight and fall to the floor. Trouble is likely to occur.

That is, when the present invention replaces a can that has finished storing fiber bundles with five empty cans, a sorting head having a sorting plate swingably held on both can sides is positioned above the gap between the two cans, While holding that position, it moves in synchronization with the replacement of both cans, and by the fiber bundles falling onto the distribution plate, the distribution plate is tilted from the can side where the fiber bundles have been stored to the empty can side to bundle the fibers. It is characterized by switching the supply to the empty can side, then cutting the fiber bundle supported by the sorting head by a cutter built into the head, and then returning the sorting head to the standby position. do. This method consists of a distribution plate that is swingable between a can that has finished storing fiber bundles and an empty can that will replace the can, and a cutter that cuts the fiber bundle that has been passed from the can that has finished storing fiber bundles to the empty can. The head is provided with a delivery device that moves the head in synchronization with the replacement of both cans while positioning the head above the gap between the can in which the fiber bundle has been stored and the empty can, and returns the head after cutting the fiber bundle supported by the head. This can be done by doing something to j to return it to its position. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

There have been many proposals for braking such cans. For example, an automatic counter (not shown), which sets the fiber bundle length from the rotational speed of a capstan roller, provides a signal indicating that a predetermined length of fiber bundle has been supplied. When the (full can signal) is issued, the chain conveyor 4 and the trolley 5 return to their normal positions (initial positions), and then a timer (not shown) controlling the conveyor receives the groove can signal issued by the auto counter. This can be implemented by assembling a sequence circuit so that the chain conveyor 4 rotates in the direction of arrow B for a predetermined time when the time is up.

Furthermore, a cutter 11 made of an electric heater is fixedly installed below the cylinder rod 9 facing the cutter part 7.
The cylinder 10 and the cutter 11 are energized to the cutter 11 when, for example, an auto-counter full signal is issued so as not to lose their operating timing. The cylinder 10 also has an auto-counter and a timer for controlling the cutter cylinder. It is made to operate when the fiber bundle 1 comes to be stored in the empty can replaced by the full can.

At the same time, the roller conveyor 28 below the empty can 3a on standby rotates, and the empty can 3a is pushed onto the chain conveyor and approaches the can 3 that has finished storing fibers. At this time, the hanging rod 22 of the sorting head 6 hits the edge of the empty can 3a, and the sorting head 6 is drawn out from the standby position by the empty can 3a. This state is shown in FIG. Next, when the timer for controlling the conveyor times out and the chain conveyor 4 rotates in the direction of arrow B and the full cans 3 and empty cans 3a begin to be replaced, the sorting head 6 moves between the full cans 3 and the empty cans 3a. It is transported by the empty can 3a while maintaining its position above the gap.

Eventually, the fiber bundle 1 comes into contact with the distribution plate 13 as shown in FIG.
3 switches to the empty can 3a, and the fiber bundle 1 is promptly thrown into the empty can 3a.At the same time, the fiber bundle 1 slides on the front edge 13a of the distribution plate 13, and the tangles and lumps are sorted out, and the fiber bundle 1 is almost elongated. In this state, it is guided 9 to the cutter section 7 and supported by the cylinder rod 9 (FIG. 8). The surface of the cylinder rod 9 is easily slippery, and the separation of the fiber bundle is facilitated. Furthermore, when the chain conveyor 4 rotates and reaches a predetermined location of the empty can 3a, for example, the center, directly below the duct 2, the chain conveyor 4 temporarily stops, the cylinder 10 is activated, and the cylinder rod 9 pulls in the fibers. When the bundle 1 falls onto the cutter 11, it touches the cutter 11, which is already energized and heated, and is fused, and its ends slide on the skirt portion 6b of the head and are stored in the respective cans 3 and 3a. .

When the head 6 returns, the front edge 13 of the distribution plate is placed along its path.
It is convenient to provide a projection (not shown) that can be touched by a to automatically change the orientation of the distribution board. In the above explanation, the case where the sorting head 6 is moved by the empty can 3a as a means for sending out the head has been explained, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the empty can can be moved by a piston or a chain belt. It is possible to adopt a method in which the container is moved in synchronization with the movement of the container, or a method in which it is pulled by a full can.
