Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small space of color exchanger by using a system in which a gear engaged with a belt for driving a carriage and an electromagnetic plunger to press a pen on a recording paper are temporarily fixed, and the pen of a desired color is selected. CONSTITUTION:When an electromagnetic plunger 32 for triggering is excited, a spring 35 is compressed by a movable core 33, and the tip is fit with a gear 39 to be engaged with a belt 36. Under the condition, when a carriage 13 is about to move by a pulse motor 15, the gear 39 and a plate metal 34 are turned by reverse movement of the belt 36 not fixed to the carriage, the plunger 24 is turned at a projection 27 as a supporting point, and the movable core 25 positioned by the spring 29 at the radial groove 31 of the bearing 30 is turned in the direction of E and moved along the groove 31. By controlling pulse number to be applied to the pulse motor 15 for driving carriage, the pen 17 of desired color can be selected. The color exchanger of a small space can thus be obtained without increasing the number of the electromagnetic plunger.
