For example, lard is used in Chinese cuisine and other food products due to its unique taste and flavor. However, like other animal fats and oils, it has a significantly higher content of saturated fatty acids than polyunsaturated fatty acids, and the intake of lard is The problem is that it raises cholesterol.

As a result of various studies to solve the above problems, the present inventor found that if lard and corn oil are mixed at a composition ratio (weight) in the range of 25:75 to 1:99, it will be exactly the same as when corn oil alone is used. We have completed the present invention by discovering that the increase in serum cholesterol levels can be suppressed to a certain degree, and that the taste retains the favorable flavor of corn oil compared to corn oil alone and imparts the unique taste of lard. The present invention is based on the new discovery that when lard and corn oil are mixed in specific proportions, the effects of both on blood cholesterol levels have unique effects that would not be expected from simply adding the two together. .

When lard and corn oil are mixed, the effect of lard on increasing blood cholesterol concentration is significantly reduced, and a linear relationship does not hold between the mixing ratio of the two, especially lard 1 to 25%,
It was found that at a mixing ratio of 9 to 75% corn oil exposure, the ability to suppress blood cholesterol elevation was similar to that of corn oil alone. The present invention, which takes advantage of these new findings, has created a blended oil that has excellent nutritional properties such as preventing an increase in blood cholesterol levels, and also has some of the inherent advantages of lard. will be provided, which is of great benefit to the world. The lard used in the present invention is not particularly limited and may be any oil obtained from pigs. The corn oil used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is obtained from corn.

Food and water were provided ad libitum. After breeding, fast for 1 hour,
Blood was collected under ether anesthesia, and serum was collected using a conventional method. Total cholesterol in serum was measured using Kineto, “Cholesterol B-Test Wako” manufactured by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.
Measured using The composition of the test feed is shown in Table 1, and the chemical composition of the fats and oils used in the test is shown in Table 2. The test edible oil was prepared by melting lard at 50° C. and blending it with corn oil at the above mixing ratio (weight).

1k9 of vitamin E acetate is added to the feed as an antioxidant.
100m9 was added per feed. The breeding results and serum total cholesterol levels are shown in Table 3. From the above results, the edible oil of the present invention has no effect on breeding performance such as average weight gain, average food intake, and feed efficiency, and autopsy findings show no particular abnormalities other than liver enlargement due to cholesterol loading. The results are shown in Figure 1. From this, it was found that mixed oils having a mixing ratio (by weight) of lard and corn oil of 25:75 to 1:99 are excellent in terms of cholesterol-lowering effect. Example 2 After feeding 28-day-old male Sprague-Dore rats for 5 days on commercial feed, they were divided into sections, with 10 [! ! 1i, average weight 119.3±3.8y, corn oil and lard fractionated oil were added to 1 (1): 0, 75: 2 (4): 5, 25: 75. The animals were fed for 28 days with a diet containing 10% edible oil blended in 5 stages at a ratio of 0 to 100.

The breeding method and measurement method were the same as in Example 1. The composition of the test feed is shown in Table 1, and the chemical composition of the fats and oils used in the test is shown in Table 2. To prepare the test edible oil, add 20 lard
The lard fractionated oil in the liquid category separated at ℃ is heated to room temperature (25℃).
It was blended with corn oil at the above mixing ratio (weight).

Feed contains 1 kg of vitamin E acetate as an antioxidant.
100m9 was added per feed. The breeding results, serum total cholesterol level, and serum β-riboprotein level are shown in Table 4. From the above results, the blended oil of lard fractionated oil and corn oil had no effect on the rearing performance, and the autopsy findings were also favorable as in Example 1.

The effect of blending corn oil and fractionated lard oil on serum cholesterol levels was almost the same as that of blending corn oil and lard. The relationship between the mixing ratio of corn oil and fractionated lard oil and serum cholesterol levels was derived from orthogonal polynomials and was expressed as a quadratic function.

When illustrated, it looked like FIG. 2. From this, the mixing ratio (weight) of lard fractionated oil and corn oil is 25:75 to 1:99.
It can be seen that the mixed oil has excellent cholesterol-lowering effects. It has also been revealed that serum β-riboprotein levels, which carry cholesterol, show an extremely high correlation with cholesterol levels.
