両側には蛇腹部9と一体の軒樋端部の摺接部10が設け
られている。また蛇腹部9の裏面には下方に突出した蛇
腹体2と一体の突起5が突設されていて、この突起5は
首部11と係合孔3よりも大きな頭部4とからなつてい
る。この突起5を押圧変形して継手本体1の係合孔3の
内側より圧入し、その頭部4の周縁を係合孔3の外周に
係止して継手本体1と蛇腹体2とを連結してある。而し
て軒樋6を連結する際には継手本体1の長手方向から軒
樋6の端部を挿入 し、軒樋6の先端部を蛇腹部9に当
接し、軒樋6の挿入長さを蛇腹部9にて調節して軒樋6
を連結する。 本発明にあつては叙述のように軒樋の継
手本体の長手方向略中央部の内面に沿つて軟質合成樹脂
にて形成した軒樋の長手方向に伸縮自在な蛇腹体を配置
して装着したので、継手本体の長手方向の両側から挿入
した軒樋の先端を蛇腹体に当接し蛇j腹体を伸縮させて
軒樋の挿入長さを調節して軒樋を連結することができ、
軒樋の挿入長さが調節できるから軒樋の長さに若干の寸
法誤差があつても確実に連結することができると共に施
工後の膨張、収縮などによつて軒樋の長さが変化しても
蛇7腹体により吸収することができ、また継手本体の長
手方向の略中央部に係合孔を形成し、軟質合成樹脂で形
成された蛇腹体の外周面に蛇腹体と一体に突設され先端
部に係合孔の径よりも大きい頭部を有した突起を形成し
、突起を係合孔に圧入することにより、頭部を係合孔の
外側外周に係止して継手本体に蛇腹を固定するので、継
手本体と蛇腹体とが着脱自在となり、伸縮により疲労し
やすい蛇腹体が交換可能となるという利点を有し、しか
