Conventional water heaters heat the hot water tank by burning gas, etc., but when the heating surface of the hot water tank is below the dew point temperature (70°C), H2O in the combustion exhaust gas, SO3 condenses on the heating surface and a portion of it evaporates, thereby concentrating.

As a result, H2O and SO3 react to become H2SO4, which passes through the metal on the heating surface and pops the enamel on the inside of the hot water tank, and SO4 oxidizes the metal and creates holes.
The drawback was that the hot water tank had a short lifespan.

This idea was created in view of the above drawbacks, and when the temperature of the heating surface of the hot water tank is below the dew point temperature, excess combustion air is supplied to lower the dew point temperature and prevent condensate from condensing on the heating part. The purpose is to prevent corrosion and provide a water heater with a long life.
