    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 、　ハウジング内周に嵌着される半裁断面路コ字形の外
    筒と回転軸または、該回転軸に密嵌した回転部材に嵌着
    されるフローティングシートとの間に、軸方向に移動可
    能になり前記フローティングシートに対して密接摺動す
    るシールリングと、該シールリングと前記外筒間を密封
    するパツキンブト、前記シールリングをフローティング
    シート方向に向けて押圧するコイルスプリングを配設し
    てなるメカニカルシールにおいて、前記コイルスプリン
    グの後端とパツキンとの間にスプリング抑え環を介装す
    るとともに、該スプリング抑え環の外周端を外筒に対し
    て固定して、該スプリング抑え環と外筒との間に前記バ
    ッキングを挾持する構造を有することを特徴とするメカ
    ニカルシール。
