The conventional method of printing different colors on the high pile and low pile areas of a pile fabric that has a difference in height is to dye the fabric to a uniform color and then print at 3000 to 5000 CpS from the surface side of the pile fabric.
A high viscosity printing liquid is applied only to the high pile area, especially the area above the low pile area, and this is steamed to fix the dye to the pile yarn, which is then washed with water and dried. However, in the conventional method, the printing solution contains a large amount of size to make it highly viscous, so it is difficult to completely remove the size in the washing process, which requires the consumption of large amounts of water resources. I didn't get it. In addition, especially when trying to make the high pile area lighter in color than the low pile area, apply a liquid containing a dye resisting agent only to the high pile area - steaming or drying - apply the printing liquid only to the high pile area - dark color printing - steam heating - It is necessary to go through a process of washing with water or a process of dark color printing-discharge printing-steaming-washing, and there is also a problem that the resist dye and discharge agent are difficult to remove by washing with water. The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems and is a method for printing a pile fabric having a height difference consisting of a light-colored high-pile area and a dark-colored low-pile area using a simple process and low water consumption.

In the present invention, a printing liquid of a dark color different from the ground color is applied to the back side of a pile fabric that has been previously colored in a light ground color and has height differences, and the entire low pile area is colored with the printing liquid, and the high pile area is colored with the printing liquid. The gist of this invention is a method for printing a pile fabric having a difference in height, which is characterized by leaving the ground color in the area above the low pile area of the fabric.

The pile 2 is colored in the ground color in advance. The pile may utilize yarn-dyed yarn or may otherwise be subjected to a separate dyeing process prior to practicing the present invention. It is preferable that the background color is light. The ground color may be a uniform light color, or it may have a slight pattern as long as it is mainly a light color. A dark-colored printing liquid 5 is applied from the back side of this pile fabric. In the present invention, if desired, a pressure means such as a roll may be provided from the pile surface side of the fabric to adjust the amount of the printing liquid 5 applied.

The conditions for applying the printing liquid 5 are as follows: Depending on the time in the steaming process and the scale of the apparatus, the printing liquid 5 is applied at 50 to 150 rpm onto the pile fabric, which has been previously colored in the ground color, flowing at a rate of 4 to 15 n1/min.
A low viscosity dark color printing liquid 5 is applied from the back side of the pile fabric by an applicator roll 4 rotating at . The printing liquid preferably has a low viscosity of 20 to 10011) PS, but conventional high-viscosity printing liquids may also be used depending on the specifications of the pile fabric.

In addition, as long as the entire high pile part of the present invention is made light-colored, the heterochromatic nylon filament that has been used as carpet yarn can be used as the yarn constituting the fabric of the present invention. After printing, if desired, regular or irregular patterns are further applied from the surface side of the pile fabric. As a result, a deeper and more elegant pattern is created. In the method of printing a pile fabric having height differences according to the present invention, a brilliant three-dimensional pattern rich in color can be obtained by coloring the high pile portion and the low pile portion separately.

Furthermore, the present invention allows the use of a low viscosity printing liquid with less paste, resulting in better workability, easier washing with water after fixing the dye by steaming, and less water consumption. In addition, if you plan to create a striking three-dimensional pattern by making the high pile part a light color and the low pile part a dark color, this is a book! The invention can be easily carried out by making the ground color light and the printing liquid dark, and the process of resist printing and discharge printing, which is required in conventional methods, is not required and the work cost is reduced.
