A remote control mirror for an automobile has a pivot part of a mirror holder that supports the mirror supported by a catch, and an advancing/retracting lever is provided in the vertical and horizontal directions of the pivot part, and the mirror is tilted by moving the advancing/retracting lever back and forth. It is configured as follows.

For example, as shown in FIG. 5, a rear surface of a mirror holder that supports mirror a is made to project rearward at approximately the center to form a spherical part, and this spherical part is received by seat c to form a pivot part. A torque is applied to this pivot part d by a spring da disposed between the washer dl and the screw thread, and the upper and right side of this pivot part d (not shown) is A joint member f is provided at which one end is pivotally supported by the mirror holder b and the other end is pivotally supported by the advancing and retracting lever e, and the mirror holder is moved in the vertical direction (
The mirror holder is tilted in the direction of the arrow in the figure), and the mirror holder is tilted in the left-right direction by advancing and retreating the right-hand advancing and retracting rod. However, in such a configuration, the distance 1 between the mirror holder and the driving part g becomes large because the joint member f, which is a separate member from the advancing/retracting lever e, is used.
It is not possible to satisfy the demand for reducing the thickness of the entire mechanism as much as possible. The reason for using the joint member f, which is a separate member from the advancing/retracting lever e, is as follows.

That is, as shown in FIG. 6, a spherical part is provided directly at the end of the retractable rod e without using a joint member, and this spherical part e,
As in the conventional example, when the mirror holder is fitted into the spherical recess formed in the protrusion b of the mirror holder, the spherical feeder tilts the mirror holder back and forth as the advancing and retracting lever e moves back and forth. When the mirror holder is tilted forward by an angle θ°, the center of the spherical portion el moves in an arc in the X direction from point P to point Q using the center 0 of the pivot portion d as a fulcrum. At this time, the advancing/retracting lever e is tilted by an angle α°, so a load is applied to the advancing/retracting lever e by this amount. When it is tilted backward by θ°, the center of the spherical part e moves in an arc in the Y direction from point P to point R, and the advancing/retracting lever e is tilted by α°, causing a load on the advancing/retracting lever. It takes. In order to absorb this and avoid applying a load, conventionally a joint member f, which is a separate member from the advance/retreat lever e, is used as described above, and both ends of the joint member f are attached to the mirror holder b and the advance/retreat lever e, respectively. He supported them. Therefore, such a conventional example requires a joint member f, which is a separate member from the advancing/retracting rod e, and therefore, the distance between the mirror holder b and the drive mechanism inevitably increases, and furthermore, the distance between the mirror holder b and the drive mechanism becomes large. Since the power is transmitted by all means, there is a possibility that the operating force of the advancing and retracting lever e will be dispersed in many directions, and the structure is complicated and easily broken, which is disadvantageous in terms of manufacturing and other aspects.

The remote control mirror of the present invention, similar to known mirrors of this type, includes a mirror holder 1 and a front mirror 7 supported by the mirror holder 1, and includes a pivot projecting semispherically rearward at approximately the center of the mirror holder 1. 1a, and above the pivot portion 1a there is provided an advancing/retracting rod 2 for vertically tilting the mirror holder 1, and on the right side of the pivot portion 1a there is an advancing/retracting rod 2'' for tilting the mirror holder 1 left and right. It is arranged.

Unlike the known products of this kind, in the present invention, a joint portion 2a is integrally formed with the advancing and retracting rod 2, and this joint portion 2a
is provided with a spherical part 2b, and this spherical part 2b is disposed in a recessed part 1b provided in the mirror holder 1, and this recessed part 1b is arranged in the tilting direction of the mirror holder 1, that is, in terms of the advancing and retracting rod 2 that tilts up and down. It is formed with more margin than the spherical portion 2b in the vertical direction.

To explain this margin using FIG. 3, the vertical position (
At the position shown by the solid line, there is a height h above the spherical part 2b.
Provided for. It is being This height h is set according to the maximum angle at which the mirror holder 1 can be tilted. In other words, if the maximum angle is θ0, when the spherical part 2b is tilted forward by θ0, the center of the spherical part 2b moves horizontally from point P to point Q, and at the same time, the margin of height h is the lower part of the spherical part 2b. The spherical part 2b comes into contact with the upper surface of the recessed part 1b.
In exactly the same way, when the center of b reaches point R horizontally from point P,
The excess area moves to the bottom. Therefore, with this configuration, even though the mirror holder 1 itself tilts around the pivot center 0, there is no need to provide a joint member separate from the advancing/retracting rod 2, and the desired maximum tilting can be achieved. It is also possible to stop the tilting at an angle. Incidentally, the recessed portion 1b is provided with slits 8 at the top and bottom, as shown in FIG. 4.

The above description has been made regarding the advancing/retracting rod 2 that allows vertical tilting, but the advancing/retracting rod 2'' that allows left and right tilting may also be configured in exactly the same manner as above, with allowances for the recessed portions provided in the left and right directions. Therefore, there is no need to provide a special joint member separately from the advancing and retracting rods 2, 2'', and therefore the distance between the mirror holder 1 and the driving section can be shortened. In the above embodiment, The pivot portion 1a is received by the catch seat 3,
The receiving torque is determined by the pivot portion 1a fixed to the catch seat 3.
The screw 6 and the pivot part 1 are inserted through a generous through hole.
It is properly determined by the spring 5 between the washer 4 and the front surface of the aa. Further, the recessed part 1b is formed in the protruding part 1'' that protrudes from the mirror holder 1.As described above, the present invention supports the pivot part of the mirror holder that supports the mirror with the seat, and A remote control mirror for an automobile is configured such that an advancing/retracting rod is disposed in the vertical and horizontal directions of a pivot portion, and the mirror is tilted around the pivot portion by advancing and retracting the advancing/retracting rod. The spherical part is directly formed, the spherical part is fitted into a recess formed in the mirror holder, and the recess is formed to have more margin than the spherical part in the direction of tilting of the mirror holder. It is not necessary to require a special joint member, and therefore the distance between the mirror holder and the drive section can be shortened, and the number of parts is reduced, resulting in a simple structure.
Since the mirror holder can be tilted directly by the advancing/retracting rod, there is an effect that there is no force dispersion.
