Therefore, cargo handling components such as lift cylinders and chains stand in front of the driver's seat, and the dead zone area D in the forward field of view is wide-ranging as shown in Figure 4, making it difficult to check signs, obstacles, or the tip of the fork. However, there were many problems in terms of safety and work.

On the other hand, the inner mast lb is connected at least at its upper end by a cross beam 10, and the outer mast lb
A can be moved up and down via rollers. The above is a well-known mast component that forms part of a cargo handling device, and is not a new configuration at all. 3 in the figure is a 2 for raising and lowering the inner mast lb and the lifting members A such as the lift bracket 14 and the hook bar 15 that go up and down along the mast lb.
The J number of lift cylinders are disposed in a dead zone area D of the forward field of view behind the left and right masts 1, preferably behind the inner mast lb, and the lower ends of the cylinders 3 are connected to the rear flange of the mast 1, the front axle 4 and It is mounted on the lower cross beam 2 at the lower end of the outer mast la located in the space 8 formed by the front wheels 5.

The periphery of the lower end of the lift cylinder 3 is surrounded by a box-shaped bracket 6 which is welded to the flat part 2a and the upright part 2b of the lower cross beam 2 and to the rear flange part of the outer mast 1a, respectively. Here, the lower cross beam 2 and bracket 6 are collectively referred to as one support member.
At this time, the bracket 6 is effectively housed within the space 8, which is the clearance between the front axle 4 and the mast 1.
Furthermore, a substantially U-shaped wheel support 11 is fixed to the upper end of the piston rod 3a of the lift cylinder 3, and a chain wheel 13 rotatably supported by the wheel support 11 via a spindle 12 has one end. A lift chain 16 is attached to the outer mast 1a and has its other end fixed to the elevating member A.

Furthermore, a substantially U-shaped receiver 17 fixed to the upper end of the inner mast 1b or the cross beam 10 is slidably fitted to the wheel support 11.
A vertically elongated guide groove 17a that engages with the support shaft 12 of the chain wheel 13 is formed in the side plate of the chain wheel 13, so that the lifting member A has a free lift amount determined by the length of the guide groove 17a. It's starting to be given. The receiving body 17 has a U-shape and has a guide groove 17 on its side plate.
A is shown, but one end is a cross beam 10
It may be a vertically elongated guide bar fixed to the wheel support 11, in which case a vertical hole is bored at a position corresponding to the bar in the wheel support 11, and the bar is slidably fitted into the hole. Let's meet. Free lift is possible.

In the figure, 7 is a mast support whose base end is rotatably attached to the front axle 4, whose front end is fixed to the bracket 6 (which may be the rear flange of the outer mast 1a), and whose base end is rotatably attached to the front axle 4. By the operation of a cylinder (not shown), the mast 1 tilts back and forth about the pivot point between the front axle 4 and the mast support 7. However, by arranging the lift cylinders, which are normally placed in the center between the left and right masts 1, in pairs on the left and right within the dead zone area D of the forward field of view behind the mast 1 as described above, the left and right masts 1 There are no parts in between that obstruct the forward view, and a wide front view with less dead zone area D is obtained, making it extremely easy to check the fork tip and the load on the fork when handling cargo at high places, and while driving. , signs and obstacles can be seen at a glance, greatly contributing to reducing operator fatigue while improving work efficiency and safety.

In addition, the lift cylinder 3 is arranged symmetrically behind the mast 1, and its lower end is located on the same horizontal plane as the lower end of the mast 1, so that the center of gravity of the entire cargo handling equipment is not close to the front axle 4. This is useful for increasing the stability of the vehicle, and the piston stroke can be freely made to correspond to the length of the inner mast 1b, so that an efficient total height of the mast can be obtained and the free amount can be freely selected.

Furthermore, the fact that the lift cylinder 3 is disposed within the dead zone area D behind the rear flange of the inner mast means that the diameter of the cylinder can be freely selected as long as it falls within the dead zone area D, which increases the load lifting capacity. In addition, the lift cylinder 3 is placed close to the inner mast as well as the elevating member A that is fitted to the mast and moves up and down, and the lift cylinder 3 is located close to the elevating member A of the chain wheel that is attached to the top end of the piston rod extending from the lift cylinder 3. Since the front surface of the outer peripheral end of the piston can be placed as close as possible to the chain connection point of the lifting member, the load can be applied to the center of the piston rod, the unbalanced load is small, and efficient lifting force can be exerted, and the piston can be attached to the cylinder and piston. The protection of the packings that are used is in charge of protection. In addition, since the outer circumferential surface of the lift cylinder does not protrude beyond the outer mast outer surface, the inner surface of the front wheels can be as close to the outer mast outer surface as possible, and the overall width of the vehicle will not be increased and the cylinder will not be obstructed. There is no need to worry about coming into contact with anyone. Furthermore, since the lower end of the lift cylinder 3 is surrounded by the bracket 6, not only the lift cylinder 3 itself but also the piping connections and nipples attached to the lower end of the lift cylinder 3 are protected from obstacles. Protected from damage due to contact with other objects. In particular, this bracket 6 has a shape that is effectively stored in the clearance between the front axle and the mast that inevitably occurs in this type of forklift, so there is no need to push the mast forward during design. There is no negative effect on the permissible load, etc.
