Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

A tape cassette that has a built-in pair of tape reels on which magnetic tape is wound, has an opening in the front part, and has a shielding plate in the front part for shielding the opening part so as to be slidable in the longitudinal direction of the tape. A tape cassette according to the above, wherein the sliding operation portion of the shielding plate is thicker than the other shielding plate portions.
