Since the continuous elements formed by the conventional method are simply connected to each other with strings, etc., it is necessary to attach the chain-like elements to the fastener tape after forming by sewing with a sewing machine or by weaving. It was hot. Since the two-step process of forming the element and attaching the element is required, not only does the manufacturing time become longer and the cost increase, but it is also difficult to obtain a slide fastener with stable quality. The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, and has an extruded element that directly attaches the extruded element to the fastener tape, eliminating the need for a subsequent attachment process, simplifying the process, and producing a high-quality product. An object of the present invention is to provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing a zipper chain. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings.

An extruder nozzle 4 is arranged above the die wheel 1. The tip of the nozzle 4 is slidably fitted into a groove 5 formed on the outer periphery of the die wheel 1, as shown in FIG. A slit 7 (see FIG. 4) communicating with the widthwise center of the passage 6 is formed in the nozzle 4 in the longitudinal direction, and a guide groove 8 is provided in the slit 7 so as to pass through the passage 6. A tape guide 9 is fitted and fixed. The lower end of the tape guide 9 is located at the nozzle hole 10 at the lower end of the passage 6, and the opening B at the lower end of the guide groove 8
a communicates with the cavity 12 and the groove 3. 11
is a mandrel, which extends below the nozzle 4 along the vicinity of the bottom of the groove 3 of the die wheel 1.

The fastener tape 12 is provided with a core string 13 at the edge,
In addition, through holes 14 are formed at equal intervals along the core string 13. The fastener tape 12 passes through the slit 7 of the nozzle 4 and the guide groove 8, and the core string 13 is arranged along the upper surface of the mandrel 11, and is moved to the first and second left by the front and rear feed rollers 15, 16. is sent continuously to
At the same time, the goo wheel 1 is also rotated at the same speed as the tape 12 in the direction of the arrow. Then, the molten synthetic resin is continuously supplied to the nozzle 4 from the screw of the extruder, and is extruded into the cavity 2 facing the nozzle opening 10, so that the cavity 2 is filled with the molten metal 20 as shown in FIG. is attached to the core string 13 and the tape 12, and enters the through hole 14 of the tape 12 to form a bridge 17 that connects the side walls of the element to each other. In this manner, the molten metal is continuously extruded into the cavity 2, and after passing through the nozzle nozzle 10, the molten metal is cooled and solidified, and then die-cut near the front of the nozzle 4.

The completed element 18 has a cavity 19 at the location of the mandrel 11 and has a structure in which it is strongly adhered to the tape via the bridge 17. As described above, according to the method and apparatus of the present invention, the extruded elements are directly attached to the tape, so the zipper chain is completed in one step, and the subsequent attachment process is not required, so the manufacturing time of the zipper chain is significantly reduced. Not only is the manufacturing cost reduced, but the resulting product also has the effect of providing a high-quality fastener chain with high element mounting strength and no irregularities in element rows.
