Furthermore, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 52-15116, 'the napkin inner body is covered with two outer wrapping materials such as upper and lower sheets of rayon paper or non-woven fabric, and both short side edges and longitudinal side edges of the outer wrapping material are covered with the inner body. A sanitary napkin has been reported which is characterized in that the sanitary napkin is joined and fixed at the center of the side surface and covered so that a frilled edge is formed around the napkin.

In order to further improve these leak-proofing and absorbent functions, the present inventors aimed to provide sufficient leak-proofing properties (resulting in improved absorbency) even when a large amount of menstrual blood is excreted. After repeated research, we have already published Utility Model Application Publication No. 16135/1983,
In Japanese Patent No. 52758, sanitary napkins with excellent leakproof properties were disclosed.

That is, the present invention provides a sanitary napkin consisting of a menstrual blood permeable surface material, a waterproof sheet for preventing leakage of menstrual blood, and an absorbent layer inserted between them, in which the waterproof sheet is a base made of paper or nonwoven fabric. obtained by laminating a water-repellent polymer film layer on the paper, and the rise height of water per hour and minute diameter measured by Klemm's paper water absorption test method (JIS-P8141) is 5 TrrIn or less and the base forms a surface layer of the sanitary napkin,
The waterproof sheet is rolled up to the upper surface of the surface material and to the top of the absorbent layer, and is further joined to the surface material inside the end of the waterproof sheet, which is extremely effective in preventing leakage of menstrual blood. It is possible to provide a sanitary napkin that contributes greatly to the user, such as absorbency, prevention of staining of shorts, improvement of hygiene, and a sense of mental relief.
