Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb movements in lateral directions of a carriage on a mechanism part and prevent vibrations and noises, by fixing the mechanism part provided with elastic bodies compressedly fixed to a casing. CONSTITUTION:Four elastic bodies 13 formed of a rubber or the like are fixed to outside surfaces of both side chassis 11 for the mechanism part of the printer. The mechanism part is guided from above so that the elastic bodies 13 are fitted into fitting parts 15 provided in a casing 14, and is elastically fixed by screwing pressure plates 16 to the fitting parts 15. Since the mechanism part is fixed in the condition of being perfectly levitated by the elastic bodies 13 with respect to the casing 14, it can sufficiently withstand vibrations.
