[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to an open showcase that forcibly circulates cold air that has undergone heat exchange with a cooler and closes the opening for taking out products. To reduce the amount of outside air entering from the left and right sides of the opening by blowing out from the rack hole along the side wall of the main body into the refrigerator compartment.

Conventionally, in open showcases, the cold air that has been heat exchanged in the cooler is forced to circulate to close the front opening for taking out products, and the cold air is blown from the back of the refrigerator compartment to the front opening. Since rack holes are formed at the ends to support the display shelves, the blowing surface of the cold air is restricted by these rack holes, and as a result, the cold air hits the products stored and displayed in front of the rack holes. This makes the cooling effect of the product that much worse.

In addition, the flow of cold air in front of the rack holes at both end portions has a slightly negative pressure due to the influence of the blowout from other parts, resulting in the inconvenience that outside air enters from the openings along the inner surface of the side wall of the main body.

In order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, the present invention blows cold air forward from the rack holes that support the shelves, and this blowing flow prevents the outside air from entering as described above.

A part of the cold air flowing into the cold air flow passage 13 is transferred to the inner ceiling wall 1.
The remaining air is blown into the refrigerator compartment 7 through the holes 10, 10, . The air is blown out from the outlet 5 as a protective airflow and a cold airflow, respectively, to form an air curtain, closes the opening 2, is sucked into the cooling chamber 20 through the suction port 6, is cooled again by the cooler 22, and circulates through the above-mentioned path.

As mentioned above, in this invention, the cold air is blown into the refrigerator from the rack holes for supporting the shelves along the side wall of the main unit, so there is no negative pressure generated in front of the rack holes as in the conventional case. The entrainment of outside air along the inner surface of the side wall is eliminated, and the amount of intrusion of outside air, that is, the refrigeration load, can be reduced accordingly, so that cooling efficiency can be improved.
