Claims

(1) A first lead electrode group that receives a control signal, a plurality of first heat generating lines arranged in a row that form dots by generating heat when receiving the signal, and every other one of the heat generating lines is connected. The first common electrode is connected to half the number of dots with diodes, and the second common electrode is connected to the other half of the heating lines without diodes. a first strip-shaped resistance member which is arranged to perform normal density printing; a second lead electrode group which is juxtaposed to the first strip-shaped resistance member and receives a control signal; and a second lead electrode group which receives the signal and generates heat. a plurality of second heating lines arranged to form dots and filling the printing gaps between the dots on the first strip-shaped resistance member; and a third common heating line connected to the second heating lines. a second band-shaped resistance member provided with an electrode; and sending a designated control signal as appropriate to the two band-shaped resistance members;
