本発明は太陽電池時計における充電完了報知回路に関す

まったく知られていない0最近、高寿命時計を実現する
目的で、太陽電池の二次電源として、二次電池よりも充
放電特性や信頼性の優れた高容量コンデンサを設置する
ことがある0高容量コンテンサとしては現在電気二重層
コンデンサが市販されているが、今の技術では腕時計に
実装できる大きさでは二次電池に比べ電気容量が少なく
、時計としての放電持続時間は数十時間から数日程度で
ある。この少ない持続時間は太陽電池からの充電によっ
てカバーされるべきものであるが、充電そのものは腕時
計携帯者の自由意志に基づく充電行為を待たねばならな
い。元来、二次電池付の太陽電池腕時計には二次電池の
電圧低下を知らせる充電不足警告回路が備わったものも
あるが、放電持続時間の少ない電気二重層コンデンサに
おいては普通の日常生活での充N1要求確率は高くなる
と考えられ、充電行為そのものをより一層印象付ける必

。さらに電圧上昇があると充電回路4によって高容量フ
ンデンサ2が充電される。充電電流によって高容量コン
デンサ2の端子電圧が定格電圧まで達したことを電圧検
出回路7が判定し、制限抵抗10を介して発光ダイオー
ド9を駆動するトランジスタ8をオンする。さらに誘起
電圧が上昇すると、定電圧保持回路15によって回路電
圧は最高定格電圧に保たれる@また2図においては、高
