Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the improvement of safety in case when a test is executed, and to select freely a range of a test condition in accordance with a purpose of test by limiting a moving direction of a thrust device. CONSTITUTION:A thrust device 4 contains powder, rocket, etc., and also it is provided so that a thrust load part 4b contacts to the other end part 1b of a testing pipe 1. Also, a stopping device 5 is provided so as to be opposed to the thrust device 4, on the side opposite to a propulasion direction X of a thrust generated by the thrust device 4. A large thrust is generated in a short time by a combustion of the powder of the thrust device 4. Therefore, by its reaction, the thrust device 4 runs on a guide rail 3 in the direction Y opposite to the propulasion direction X, and stops when its collar 4a contacts to the stopping device 5, and simultaneously, the testing pipe 1 is plastically deformed remarkably. In this way, a movement of the thrust device 4 is limited on the guide rail 3, and the stopping device 5 is installed on the guide rail 3, therefore, there is no possibility that the thrust device 4 moves excessively.

As shown in Figure 1, this type of conventional piping impact test equipment has the following features:
It consists of a test pipe 1 with one end 1a fixed to a wall surface 2, and a thrust device 4' containing gunpowder, rocket, etc. fixed to the other end 1b of this test pipe 1, and this thrust device 4' is ignited. As a result, a large thrust is generated in a short period of time to propel the tube, and the test pipe 1 is designed to be pushed and bent in the opposite direction to the direction of propulsion by the reaction force.

As described above, the conventional test apparatus has a structure in which the thrust device 4' is fixed to the other end 1b of the test pipe 1, and therefore has various drawbacks as described below.

(a) If the test pipe 1 is weaker than expected or the thrust is excessive, the thrust device 4'
This may not only cause plastic deformation to the piping 1 but also cause damage to the piping 1. If the piping 1 is damaged in this way, the pieces will scatter, so a protective device must be provided, but since it is extremely difficult to predict the flying path of the pieces, there is a risk that the protective device will be too large.

(b) The weight of the thrust device 4' changes during the test because thrust is generated by combustion of the gunpowder in the thrust device 4'. This is an extremely undesirable phenomenon when analyzing the behavior of the pipe 1.

(C) Since the size of the thrust device 4' is controlled by the size of the piping 1, the speed or the size of the thrust becomes a constraint on the range of experimental conditions.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a piping impact test device consisting of a test piping with one end fixed and a thrust device provided at the other end of the piping, in which the thrust device is moved only in a predetermined direction. The present invention is characterized in that it is configured to be propelled and that a stop device is provided on the opposite side of the propulsion direction so as to face the thrust device.

In FIG. 2, reference numeral 1 denotes a test pipe whose one end 1a is fixed to a wall surface 2, and the other end 1b of this pipe 1 is bent. 3 is a guide rail provided along the bent portion 1b of the test pipe 1; 4 is a thrust device provided with a collar 4a and a thrust load portion 4b and provided so as to be freely movable on the guide rail 3; contains gunpowder, a rocket, etc., and is provided so that the thrust loading section 4b is in contact with the other end 1b of the test pipe 1. Reference numeral 5 denotes a stop device that is provided opposite to the thrust device 4 in the direction of propulsion X of the thrust generated by the thrust device 4 .

This embodiment has the above-described configuration, and generates a large thrust in a short time by burning the gunpowder in the thrust device 4. Therefore, due to the reaction force, the thrust device 4, as shown in FIG. 3,
It travels on the guide rail 4 in the direction Y opposite to the propulsion direction X, and is stopped when its collar 4a comes into contact with the stop device 5. At the same time, the test pipe 1 undergoes significant plastic deformation as shown by the solid line in FIG.

Therefore, even if the test pipe 1 were to break, the thrust device 4 would stop regardless of the pipe 1, making it extremely safe. 1. Furthermore, since the thrust device 4 is structurally independent from the test piping 1, even if the weight of the thrust device 4 changes during the test, no difficult problem will arise in analyzing the test results.

As explained above, according to the present invention, by restricting the movement direction of the thrust device, safety during testing can be improved, and the sizes of the thrust device and the test piping can be independently adjusted. By selecting the test conditions, the range of test conditions can be freely selected according to the test purpose.
